Work, why are you so dumb
Nov. 15th, 2019 08:45 amWork is playing a game of chicken they're going to lose. The schedules for the rest of the month went up and like I feared, they went ahead and put me down for the 30th.
I'm not entirely sure how our current hierarchy goes but I do know that R is either second in command or tied for second. He's the one who initially told me I'd get the day off, he's also the one who told me it wasn't going to happen and when I told him I wouldn't work, he told me to call out.
I kind of feel like I should tell the person who is possibly tied for second in command that dude, I'm not coming in and I'm sorry, but I shouldn't have to either be damn near dying or have the store close due to impending possible natural disaster just to get a Saturday off, especially when they had three goddamn months to figure something else out. I don't want the store manager mad at me for calling out and leaving them in the lurch, because I absolutely do not trust R to not try and pretend he didn't tell me to call out (sadly, overnight A quit due to health reasons so there goes my witness) like it was no big deal.
But since there's no way in hell I'm going in, I kinda want to give them one last chance to figure something out. I've been nice every other time, even the times I really shouldn't have been, but not this time.
The only possible out for me is that the schedule as is currently written is a fucking mess for that night. They don't have a shift lead scheduled and they've got someone scheduled for 10am-7am. Which just doesn't seem at all right.
