that time of year again
Nov. 9th, 2020 03:56 amUgh. Open Enrollment for work is always such a massive pain in the ass. I'd meant to buy some booze to help me get through it (and I don't drink like that) but then just wanted to go home so forgot. Turns out I didn't/don't need a lot of help choosing an actual plan this year. Why? Because we only have 4 options and they all fucking suck!
Option 1: the one you can afford in that you kind of need insurance but fuck you if you need to *use* it because ha, you can't afford that.
Option 2: I cost twice as much as option 1 but you're still fucked and let's be honest, you can't afford me anyway!
Option 3: Look, why are you even looking at me?
Option 4: For whatever reason, I'm coded to come right after option 1, possibly to scare you into thinking either 2 or 3 is a viable option. I am not an option for anyone who works in this hell pit unless they're literally just here for the "benefits" and even then, it seems like someone else's (a partner's) would have to be a better option.
So. I'm going to look at 2 again later, just for giggles, but I'm basically forced into Option 1 which is more expensive annnnnnnnd shittier than last year's anyway. Everything else is either the same or slightly more.
Why don't I know shit about HSAs? Why did they get rid of our HRA options? Why is this company made of pure evil?
Why didn't I take the four minutes and buy myself some booze? ;_;
