ANYWAY. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to talk me into or out of buying any of the WBU dolls on sale for the next couple of days. (There's also a fair amount of Courtney and the LSF stuff on sale as well.)
The trio is on sale for $90 each and while I can't swing all three I am seriously, seriously tempted to snag two because I have my anniversary and birthday rewards. I just don't know whether I should and if I should, which ones.
Pros in general:
-I was literally just thinking about buying at least one of them when I last went to the pool.
-The price is pretty good with the rewards I've got.
-Support the line, even if it is on sale.
Cons in general:
-Probably shouldn't be making that financial choice.
-Claudie is coming at the end of August/start of September probably, and we currently have NO idea what she looks like other than being Black.
-Makena and Maritza are both dolls I think would be better suited to using the PS to pick out or buying in person but if I do that, no can do the ShopPay. WOE.
-Do I really need or have the space for another doll or two?
Makena:
-Only doll with this mold (so far?).
-Over time she's grown on me. Basically as soon as you take her out of that Meet outfit and bury those shoes, she's 1000% cuter.
-The more people bitch about the mold, the more I like it. Because I'm a contrary bitch.
-That said, I wouldn't pay full price for her if I couldn't pick her out in person so now's a good time to grab her.
-I can think of a zillion outfits I'd want to try her in.
cons:
-Just because I think I'll like her doesn't mean I actually will.
-Her hair is on the limited side, though it's not like I don't have other dolls whose hair I can play with.
-I fucking hate her Meet outfit with a passion. Well, the shoes and the skirt. It really does seriously undercut her passion for fashion.
Evette:
-Somehow became my favorite of the trio and I am always captivated by her pictures.
cons:
-If Boa gets anywhere near her hair, Evette's doomed.
Maritza:
-Still think of her as Lila fucking Fowler and we love Lila here.
-Her Meet outfit is probably the one I'd actually use again.
-I love the Joss mold and know it doesn't always photograph well.
-LILA. FUCKING. FOWLER.
cons:
-I can't think of too many dolls who look as cross-eyed as Maritza tends to look. There've been a handful who don't but it's like one out of five don't and the rest vary between mildly cross-eyed to cross-eyed and she knows you think that and will fucking stab you.
I dunno. I don't even do much with my AG dolls but I love having them and knowing they're here, y'know? Decisions!
