vacation update

Ugh, that was dumb. I've been slowly working my way through Widget's rejected Pringles because they're not bad (tbh, I'd probably buy them again) and I wouldn't want Mums to waste her money. But like most Pringles, I think the most I've eaten at a single time was three, and usually it's open the can, pop one, and then go about my day until the next time I'm kinda hungry but don't want to settle down and make something yet. Until this morning when I finally finished taking pictures of my new AG stuff (did it take forever? Yes. Yes it did.) including Maritza and Makena. Because it took so much longer than I anticipated, I finished up and was staaaaaaaaaarving. So I made my sandwich and set up the camera to transfer the photos. Which it's still doing, btw. Was still hungry so I grabbed a stack of chips. My tongue is now mad at me because apparently at the five chip mark, they get a little spicy.


Ah well. I'm at that point in my vacation where I begin pondering what I want to accomplish. My goals are usually modest and normally I spend my last night at work trying to figure that out only Saturday night had moments of such suckitude that I never managed it. So, let's see.
- Complete the Halloween read-along with luxken27! We have one more book to do (The Last Vampire 2) as we both finished the vampire Sweet Valley High arc this week.
- Unbox the packages I accumulated over the last week or so. Did this Sunday.
- Finish setting up my Halloween lighting. I've nearly completed it, but I need to fish out my ghost that I try not to leave out too long because I don't trust it in damp weather, and tonight I think I want to hammer out all my timer issues on things. I meant to do that Monday but then Monday turned into Terrible Period Day part 2. Blergh. All I need to do at this point is pop in batteries for my blue disco light and I'm good. RIP, ghost light. You lived an awfully short life. :/
- Ride around and see the Halloween decorations in other neighborhoods (specifically the old neighborhood(s?) and the neighborhood with the big giant Skelly. I want to see if his head is back to normal. Haven't done this one yet, kinda hoping to do it today. Kinda did this one, have hopes to hit the other today or tomorrow.
- Attempt another Halloween Pail from McDonald's. - Don't think this will work because on the app all the nearby restaurants have taken the option off their ordering menu. BUT McRib is back and uh, yeah, we're gonna slot that sucker in instead. I did get my Witch pail so I'm relatively content but if you wind up with a pail you don't want, particularly that ghost, keep me in mind. Got the pumpkin and a McRib. Might try once more to see if I can snag the ghost or a witch for Lori.
- Keep up with DinoDrac. It's an ongoing thing.
- Get a second pumpkin for seeeeeeeeeeeds.
- Figure out what the fuck I'm going to carve. I'm thinking McPunk'n as a nod to the triumphant return this year.
- Review the new AG stuff which involves dressing the various dolls, taking pictures, editing, and writing out my thoughts. I just finished uploading the pictures I took so... we're getting there. I've now done the J&J stuff, so we're moving along.
- Take a shorter walk to look at the townhouse decorations in daylight. Did that Tuesday. It wasn't quite as good as I hoped but I did find some gems.
- Same walk at night/evening. This one's a little iffy simply because I don't love walking around little parking lots in the dark. Tried this Friday night but no one had their lights on. Boo and bullfrogs.
- Long walk to see the fancy part of the neighborhood, once during the day and once at night. This one I normally do a few times but I'm not really sure I want to make the fucking trek back there before I know they've set anything up, especially if the weather continues to catfish me. Did the loooooooooong walk yesterday and took pictures of my finds. I'm not sure I want to try and walk it at night, so hopefully I'll make the ride out tonight.
- Clean off the table. *laughs then cries* Getting there. Just need to move the books off and ask Mom where she wants her mail and it'll be fine for carving.
- Clean in general. Ehhhhhhh. I cleared off the right side of my desk and Adora has decided that means she can launch herself onto the bar more easily. Oops. My couch stuff is down to magazines, so that's a start. We'll see.


I'm looking for stuff to watch/do to feel more Halloween-y. I've been doing the dragon cave Halloween stuff, which is nice, but I need more. And yes, I did do the LibraryThing Halloween Hunt. If you haven't, go. Go now!

Ah well. I'm gonna go see about paying some bills. Fun and scary. :P
