Fuuuuuuuuuuuck, I hate working fall back time change. I also hate thinking my period is done only to realize that no, it swung back around for shenanigans. I assume that's why my lowerback is trying to murder me, anyway. o_O
Note to self: pay off various things with next check wherever possible.
In related news, today was a big ~sale~ day at one of my polish places and I overslept. See above health issues. I wasn't too heartbroken because I didn't set an alarm and the ~sale~ was basically the launch of a new collection and a lot of overpours from previous collections. When I initially went through the overpour list, I marked a good solid 4th of the list as ooh, shiny and the rest was either stuff I knew I already owned OR simply hadn't really wanted in the first place. Moreso the latter but still. Some of the stuff on the oooh shiny portion leftover was from last year's mystery polishes, so I had to haul out the polishes from my room and see which ones I actually owned and realized I was down to just three from that batch that I actively wanted. Then I went through the rest of my "ooh, shiny" list and realized I had like... half of those anyway. Good to know that what I like, I really like, huh?
Anyway. When I woke up and realized how late it was (this store's fans sell out things in seconds, so waking up an hour and a half later? Oof.) I figured there was no point in the overpours. STILL. I looked. And one of the mysteries I'd really wanted, second on the list overall in fact, was still available.
So I dithered on whether to be truly bad or just a little bit and eventually snagged that, one of the new Golden Girls polishes (Blanche's) and the new topper they did. I hemmed and hawed a lot over the GG collection but ultimately went with my gut that said as much as I wound up loving the first one, I don't see myself wearing the second one as much. But I think I have a couple of days to think on that so it may change. We shall see.
tl;dr - The indie polish gods smiled upon me and I got a shiny I'd wanted for about a year and now I want to curl up in bed and watch The Golden Girls.
