Oct. 24th, 2023 02:21 amSo my vacation has begun. Huzzah! Tomorrow (today?) I'm hoping to hit the beach and then swing by and find a McBoo bucket. Mebbe a pumpkin as well. Perhaps more than one. I really want to make the DinoDrac seeds. *muse*
I deboxed my first of the G3 MH dolls, even though I've had a few for awhile. I took Abbey out first and she's adorable and I love her. She's a fun mix of the previous Abbey with the G3 style. Then I freed budget Clawdeen whose hair is gonna need some work but I should be able to do that relatively easily if I find my doll curlers. I do need to find my pliers to take out the tabs on the back of their heads though. Ugh. G3 Frankie is a bit odd. I don't get why Mattel didn't give them a slightly longer neck because nearly everything they wear makes their neck disappear. Technically if I wanted to find a way to pin things down or just have them wear their sweater-vest, it'd be fine but this really feels like a case of just make the neck a bit longer. Or the head smaller, I dunno. I should go back and re-find my MH blather post and see what I think now. I plan on deboxing the multipack later and Cleo so she can hang out with Frankie, and I probably will just go ahead and do all the rest so I can chuck the packaging in the trash/recycling.
Overall, I'm rather delighted with the outfit pieces being separates and Budget Clawdeen's earrings are fab! I thought I'd have an easy time picking and choosing which dolls to buy but it's a total PITA to find group pictures so I can just look at all the Frankies/Clawdeens/Draculauras/you get the ideas and then decide which of that character I'd like and which I can live without.
I'm trying to decide whether I should just buy the whole S1 on Amazon or not because that's about the only way I can watch the episodes now. I went and watched the Ghoul Squad eps from G2 and they were cute enough but the final one did make me look up the G2 dolls again and I forgot just how quickly they fizzled out.
