CROWS!

I finally made it to the pool Saturday, but it wasn't great. The pool itself obviously needed to be de-nature-fied and that meant I could only bitch a little when, less than five minutes after getting there, the pool guy showed up. But he took forever to do anything (that I could tell) so I'm not sure if he just really needed a 30 minute bathroom break or he was trying to give me time before he broke out the ~cleaning.~

Went back Sunday where I learned that the pool does not open before 8am. Or I am just not coordinated enough to open the gate while toggling the key back and forth. But I've done it before so I'm thinking it will buzz like it's gonna open and then not actually do it til 8am. Pool was much cleaner (yay) but I should probably still break out the skimmer the next time I go. It's just so heavy. Gimme a smaller, lighter one and I'll happily de-bug the damn pool. Anyway.

While I'm at the pool I frequently see birds of various sorts and for the last few years I've been thinking I want to befriend the neighborhood crows. Like it's on my to do list this year. I've had a few birds swing y and sit on the fence and play lifeguard over the years, including a vulture last year I think.

Yesterday I had TWO CROWS! One hung out considerably longer, so I chatted with it, mostly of the "omg, I love you!" variety. It flew off to the roof behind the pool and let me admire it for awhile and then the one who'd flown away earlier came back to say hey.

THERE IS HOPE FOR CROW FRIENDING!

Also, my cardinals came by to hangout and the male watched over things after I got out of the pool and dried off. Earlier, the female flew right over my head. The crow did too, but the cardinal was much, much closer.

Birdy friends!

And S2x5 of Interview is fantastic but if there's anyone other than Louis surprised by the reveal this episode, I'm gonna have to wonder how you made it so far in life. :P

blerghl. That's a word, right? Totally.

At the stage in one's period where one is drained of all energy to the point that crawling upstairs seems like too much work but crawling over to the couch seems like a mistake. Oops.

On the plus side, my neon rainbow nails look very nice. The only thing I'd change if I could rewind would be to use my neon aqua shade on my right thumb instead of repeating the more highlighter neon green/yellow color. Behold, the rainbow in bottle form:

We'll start from the pink and go clockwise:
Colores de Carol- It's Pinktastic. On my right pinky. Stupidly good formula and very bright pink. I have every intention of wearing this on its own or at least less skittle-y later on.
Holo Taco - Hot Take. Definitely and orange leaning red. Not technically neon but she holds her own. On my left pinky and we would've started here but I figured pink was less ambiguous than red. Formula wise, no issues other than me being messy.
Cirque- Pyro. She's faded some. Still bright but not EYE SEARING. I swear Pyro used to lean a bit more reddish orange but memory is funny. Now it's definitely just orange but still very bright orange.
Orly - Oh Snap. The green should've been Oh Snap because of the glowstick color but I digress. I don't remember if this has always had a shitty formula or if it's just not holding up well, but this is a self leveling nightmare and a streaky mess that requires topcoat to fix it. I don't remember the initial uses being so bad, but this year and last year have both been yikes on bikes for me. I will say it doesn't require white to reach neon status though, so there's that.
Atomic Polish - Sour Apple Rings. Neon shimmer love. There's a reason people lost their minds for this one and I love using it every time. Great formula, really pretty color that works for neon season and spooky season. On my left index and I also repeated this on my right thumb just because I wanted more of it.
Wildflower Lacquer - Jello Shot. Not... really neon? It's a really pretty green and I don't know if it glows under blacklight, but it does dry down matte like a neon but the color is darker than the bottle. I do like it and how it kind of grounds the left hand (it's on my thumb) while still letting that hand be the brighter neons. Formula's fine and I do know that this one with gold holo flakie topper is perfection.
WFL- Poolside also dries down darker than the bottle. I really liked how this applied though and the color is nice. Need to compare this to Orly's It's Brittney, Beach as I went with this one because I thought it was gonna be lighter (and I hadn't used it before).
WFL - Jelly Sandals is another fab formula. Not my favorite shade of purple but it was on clearance and I am hoping it's not as big a stainer as the color I'd normally use in this shade. Fingers crossed because she's pretty.
Orly- Synthetic Symphony is a classic for a reason and one I do suggest buying if you find it and you like purple polishes because it lives up to the hype and it's also discontinued due to manufacturing issues. Seriously, the perfect purple, both in color and formula.

NEON RAINBOW.

Oh, if you were wondering which one I would've subbed: Bottom's Up by ILNP.

Used *counts* 4 new shades in one mani, so that's fun. Thunder's rolling in, so it's time for me to skedaddle.
