Dear Amazon,
You and I used to be really close. Like this infact. You see the fingers I'm holding up? Like that, darling. I miss those days, but frankly, I think you've moved on. I think you've found another geek and you're wooing her as we speak. You used to care about my needs. You were excited when I came to visit, when I needed you and chose you over those other frilly places who tried so desperately to live up to the cool that was you. You'd send my gifts promptly and you didn't delight in giving me a heartattack every time.
I miss those days.
I appreciate you not stringing me along like you said you would, and it was lovely to find a giant box filled with two itty bitty discs [one CD and one DVD] but I think this is the end. You no longer meet my needs in the long run.
I'm sure we'll see each other around. The next time a band I love releases a single overseas and I need it, the next time I miss a toy in the actual store, the next time I want a giant box o' books and don't feel like dealing with surly employees... But for the most part, we're through. Do cry so at least one of us will.
Mmmm. DVD! So good, so very good. Mattel may suck in the fashion department [and you know it's gotta be bad if I'm mocking you. :p] at times, but for fluffy cheesy feel good, watch it again now movies? They don't suck at all.
Nolee may be my favorite doll, but Delancey is my favorite character. Her love affair with food she doesn't even like because it's there? Giggle worthy. Giggles, man.
Now. Madison is a grade A bitch in training. If she weren't supposed to be 15/16/possibly 17 [who knows] I'd swear she was just on the verge of becoming super bitch. But most girls, by the time they've hit 16 have become the bitch. They may not be super bitch, but they're way bitchier than she seems to be on average.
I miss redheaded Lindsay.
And am I the only one who wishes they'd included a short of Lindsay's movie? :p Also, I have to say I'm impressed they released Ryan since he was such a jerk. Woo?
Oh, and according to the personality test, which I took 3 times, I'm Chelsea-Madison-Delancey.

Date: 2005-09-05 07:40 am (UTC)As for the Ryan thing, Mattel is odd. I don't get it. I guess they're hoping enough people will have bought 'im before the movie, or maybe they figure we need a villain or something. Except he's not a villain, he's just a jerk. Totally different. I can see the whole mom/kid exchange, because my mom would have done the same thing. Oddly enough, if it had been a super bitchy female character, the outcome would have been different. mom: "why, exactly, do you want ryan?" me: "because she's evvviiiiilllll!"
But, alas, no.
