Gilmore rant. Told you.
Oct. 25th, 2005 04:47 amSo, I've been watching Gilmore Girls S5, in an effort to play catchup. Thing is, I'm realizing this is very dangerous.
1) I'm at the point where Luke and Lorelai are broken up and Lorelai is incredibly hostile and oblivious to the fact that Luke is looking to spend time with her. Which is realistic but vexing and it's making me cry like a little girl, damn it. Okay, actually I've been crying off and on for days beforehand, but this is not helping. This is fangirl crying, so I feel dirty afterwards.
2) Thus far I don't really like Logan. This is made worse by the knowledge that he's still on the show, so I'm not going to get a reprieve. Why don't I like Logan? Thus far his only redeeming quality seems to be that he oozes charm. But even that's kind of flat. He's your good time guy, but only if you're willing to overlook a bunch of crap along the way. If you're gonna fall for a goodtime guy, Rory, please fall for one with the grace to not obviously put other people out right infront of you. If you can see it? He's not charming enough. He's making me miss Jess, and anyone who's suffered through any of my previous GG rants knows I couldn't frickin' stand him. [to be honest, I couldn't stand the way it was obvious that TPTB loved him and thus mutilated everyone else to make him fit. Totally uncool.] But at least he'd wait until I was ready to turn the TV off, show a bit of depth, and I could understand why Rory was interested. Sorta. Logan? Nooooot so much yet.
3) Rory? An episode ends and I'd like to throttle her. Halfway through an episode this feeling reappears. I suspect this is very much tied into the above reason.
4) Christopher. Oddly enough, this isn't an "I don't like him" thing. It's that I'm feeling awfully bad for the guy. Sherry leaves, which isn't so bad as she always grated, but leaves him with Gigi. Then Rory bitches him out, then his father dies, then Emily insults and tempts him... and he makes a complete ass of himself. Good job, boy. And yet, I feel bad for the guy. Go figure.
5) Did I mention the fangirl crying? I think it deserves a second go 'round.
...ohmylord. People will 'ship anything. Some of you lot are freaks. Freaks, I tell you.
Expect one more post later. Then work reclaims my soul. *shrieks*
