impyI just spent damn near $30 at walmart buying candy and dishsoap.
Okay, that's what I went in there for. What I ended up with was slightly different. I grabbed two big bags of candy for the debil children, but because I refuse to buy stuff I won't eat later, I didn't buy the cheap crap. I didn't know, however, that one of them was frickin' $8! What the hell? If their stupid price check machines had been working, I would have known enough to run back and get a different one. I didn't really feel like asking Morticia to void it off while I ran back and got another bag of something though... so there it stays. Also got the soap and one of those blasted fashion fever closet things. Because it was nifty. I was good though and resisted [though I suspect it will be only momentary] the Bratz Head Games create your own doll. Sure, none are as nifty-ful as Purple!Nolee, but they're about even with the Design MyScene dolls. Plus, I wants one. Yes. I said wants. But it was in a really cute voice, I assure you.
Luckily, Dad chipped in $10 for his soap and part of the candy. I just didn't expect it to all actually cover the candy and soap. :p He didn't ask for any change though, so...
Yesterday I spoiled my inner child. Sort of. I went to Toys R Us and hunted around to see if they had anything I wanted from their B1G1 Free thing for Barbie. They did. I bought the horribly named Bling Nolee & Barbie [they didn't have chelsea. woe!] and Midnight Dance Yasmin. I was thisclose to buying the new Bratz Twins, though heaven help me if I remember their names since I just stared at 'punk skunk' [w...t...f? they ran out of cutesy names already?] and thought "Grace!" If that flew over your head, let's try again. State of Grace used to be on.. um, the channel formerly known as Fox Family but it was killed after the station changed hands for the nine billionth time. [apparently it got in their way of showing nothing but Olsen twin failed series] Which made me cry. Muchly. So being happily reminded of it made me drag my feet in not buying them. I wouldn't have minded so much if the last set of twins hadn't looked so pretty upon first release and so weird [skin tone change] as they got more in stock.
Time change sucks if you work overnight.
