Take a tiny smidge of Assa and add to a combination of Carol and Purezza and you have how my eyes percieve Nina. Which is probably why I want her. I didn't realize the Purezza bit until someone else pointed it out, but they're right. It explains so much. The school girl outfit that should be fun to share [sounds dirty. moving along] probably doesn't hurt either. Though I do wish JP didn't do obvious cycles when they like something. Like their endless run of blondes and then their overly plain faces and now back to back brunettes. Ah well. Nina's cute and Sage isn't really speaking to me, and I appreciate that since I need to switch over from dolly land to wedding insanity.

That was your cue to zone out. Lookit the pretty shiny things over there! Yes. I lied. No shiny.

[wedding] Technically I should probably start keeping a paranoid eye on these things since I somehow doubt bride-to-be wants to know I need to vent/recap things and that other people might see or hear said vent/rant. On the other hand, paranoia is an unattractive trait...

The bridesmaid meeting went exceptionally well. We didn't kill each other, there was pretty much no bitching towards anyone else in the room, and minimal bitching when someone would leave the room. Most of the open hostility was aimed at a mutual friend [who I've given up defending because, you know, being called a bitch for my troubles was a bit vexing], the groom, and some other people.
At first I thought we managed to accomplish very little, aside from not bleeding one another dry. What little accomplishment I did feel stemmed from my ability to not sit in the corner and blend in totally since I barely know these girls. Yay me. Honestly, for me, big win. Yes, I did sit in the corner for a bit, but that's because there were limited chairs and/or the snake arrived. I don't like snakes. Not even little ones.
Reminder to self: Dress outing February 11 @2:30ish. Considering plans were made for afterwards, request night off.
Reminder number two: Ideally pay off dress by April 1st.

Cass reiterrated her hope that she isn't being too horrible with the bridesmaid dresses and if anyone didn't like their chosen idea, please speak up. Colors were narrowed down to black & white/silver. That means purple died a painless death. Naturally this was done before she realized her chosen dress for everyone else didn't come in silver. :p So then she momentarily switched everyone but E. to black, which just made me crack up. I imagined this sea of black and everyone who did show up for the wedding wondering if they'd managed to mix their dates up and ended up at a funeral. L was then switched to silver as well.
It took forever, I might add, to manage to pin Cass down on any topic whatsoever. She kept getting sidetracked, as did everyone else. Which was maddening when we hit 6pm and basically the above was all we'd decided on. Sometime after that, the brains clicked.
Apparently Cass will be walking down the aisle to Aeris's theme from FF7. ...No. Seriously. Which was better than just about every other suggestion. For about ten seconds, I was afraid she honestly was going to try and use Hey Jupiter. I'm not sure she was kidding at all. I will refrain from saying the other two didn't come up with great ideas considering I didn't have a single idea of what to use, and atleast they had ideas.
My favorite colaborative effort resulted in us wondering if there's supposed to be music to sit the mother of the bride to, and if so, well, what about the Imperial March? :p Everyone laughed for ages.
Found fake flowers on ebay. I repeated the "not much money. not much money. you've never been to a wedding. not much money" mantra to keep from pondering aloud how good they'd look in person. Considering it's also enough for just about anything they'd need for the actual ceremony, if they look good then it'll save her a small fortune. If not, well, I'd prefer not to think about that.
Music for the reception was discussed.

.....! Ohmylord. It would be fine if absolutely no one over the age of 35 or so showed up, and so long as they weren't related to Cass at all. It would be beyond funny and worthy of a million stories. Thing is, this wedding/marriage has so much working against it that I don't see why you'd just add more fuel to the fire. I'm not saying forget all things fun, but trying to figure out a way to play Closer? Not. A. Good. Idea. With her family, anyway. I doubt his would be fine with it either since he was the one pushing for nothing vulgar in the music selection.
I felt beyond old with thoughts like that running through my head. I'm not even sure I was the oldest person there. [If not, I was close second.] Still. Old.

Second favorite moment: The discussion on what color L's and my hair should be, since we both seem quite friendly with the dye. She's more adventurous, but that wouldn't take much. Cass then thought for maybe two seconds and gave us the exact brand and color number she wanted. :p This was after saying, "one color. Not brown" and mocking my inadvertant dayglow yellow fiasco. Dude, let it go. Feria. Candleglow, I think. I'm not sure on the name or the number, but I know it when I see it. I'm going to try the cheaper version that's more likely to kill the last of the brown and then work my way back to the good stuff.

Bored? Yes. I thought so. I did decide that for one of my presents to her, I'm going over there some Sunday and cleaning her apartment. Seriously. Making him take out the trash, clean up the seriously gross stuff he's supposed to have dealt with, and then throwing him out while I work.

Need Charmed Season 3. Prue. Weddings. Prue. Piper. Prue. You get the idea.
