impyThe urge to wade into this conversation and say the following is very, very tempting:
Fine. The tats are cute, but the rest is garish and I think my eyes are bleeding. The idea seems interesting enough, but the execution is akin to something my five year old nephew would do. Only he'd then proclaim his handiwork "ugly" and start anew. Also, he wouldn't touch my Pullips to do such a thing.
... does knowing who said that [not the original comment, btw] make you feel better? No. Grow the hell up. If someone else's opinion, someone you don't even necessarily know, means so much to you that you'd go whining to an entire community just to get people to fluff your pathetic ego, then maybe you'd better work on your skills or find a new hobby.
Only then people would assume I made the first overly snarky comment and I didn't. And then I'd be stoned [and not in the presumably fun way], thrown out and probably spit upon. Which would be amusing since they'd just hit their keyboards, but... yeah. It's not that I don't like the land o' PS. I do. But the one thing I loathed about PP was the sunshine and rainbows and can't we all be bestest friends mentality that would twist and warp and wrap around anyone who dared to offer up a different opinion on things. There is nothing worse than an angry, fluffy, sparkly mob. The pitchfork wielders can be reasoned with. Sparklyfluff? INSANE.
And for the record, I'm not fond of that custom [/polite] but the part that slays me is the whinging about how someone didn't like it and said so and the obvious fishing for compliments that ensued. I hate that. I loathe that. Vexing. Annoying. Nyargh. If you want people to kiss your ass, then just dispense with the whole charade and say so. There are an infinite number of ways to do just that and the sparkles won't care.
I think I'm just ranty because I bit my tongue and found two really annoying threads [or bits contained within] back to back.
Let's see what else I can vent aboot. Finished Undead and Unpopular a few days ago. Had the whole thought-rant done yesterday and the computer died. Bitchy little thing. Anyway. I love MJD. I do. It kicked me in the teeth yesterday to realize not everyone feels the same way and lumps her in with the slightly delusional [/polite for real, man]
