Whores, one and all

impyUntil the Christmas music is piped in over the radio in the store, they've set up a CD player that plays the same CD over and over and over. And over. Yes, it is that annoying. At first it's cute. It's quirky, possibly even fun. As I've yet to spend a lot of time on the holiday aisle, I haven't had time to OD on the goodies yet. However, if you spend anytime whatso ever on the surrounding aisles, you soon want to jab yourself in the ear with something sharp. Repeatedly.
Why? Well, aside from the repetative nature of just about anything driving one insane, particularly if they didn't choose to listen to it in the first place, the CD is about six songs long. Twelve tracks, max, and six of those are instrumental versions of the first six. And the chosen six aren't that great. There's your kiddie/cartoon version of Rudolph and then the rest are also plucked from various holiday/Christmas cartoon/claymation specials. I swear to dog, the next time I hear we're a couple of misfits, I'm going to slap someone. Ditto for Santa's elves. It wasn't cute when I was a kid and it sure as hell isn't cute now.
That bit of holiday joy aside, the clothes I ordered last week arrived yesterday. Yay. Only not. The jeans I was excited [no sense in playing it down] about are fantastically comfy and look massively ridiculous. So back they go. I'm too tall for this nonsense. Alas, I have to hunt something else from the same place as they subscribe to the theory of "unless you exchange it, you pretty much paid the return shipping price to find out that our pants mock you! Mock!"
And the matching set is perfectly lovely, except it fits wonky. So... back! And naturally the replacement item is on backorder. WHORES.
