impyIt's Sunday afternoon and what am I doing, besides regretting wearing my very old sandals yesterday?
Looking for a job. Which won't be much fun, should I find anything that speaks to me, because the last job I had was at a gas station [and oddly enough, being the one person to remember where all the different kinds of cigs were the fastest isn't a job skill most employers are impressed with] that has since been sold, and the boss has retired. :p Yeah. So...
Currently I've got Jackie's old job as a look-see, and seeing if I can con someone into believing I'm good with children. Which I am. So long as they aren't diapered and I'm being paid. Then I'm *excellent* with children. Still, that's not exactly promising as far as jobs go. :/ Jackie's old job because, um... I'm not a people person. [children are little people and affections can be bought or swayed by funny faces] I don't suffer fools for long, and I'm not even sure they'd hire me. I don't know why, seeing as I'm ever so delightful, but hey.
So I'm a little ball of nerves. Annoyed nerves too, because my paents keep harping on me to get a job and they fail to see the logic that has kept me from being ever so employed.... other than the panic attacks. :p
My brother has almost complete control over the car. He takes it with no regard for anyone else who needs it. He nearly cost Jackie her job at the place I'm most likely to be hired... and he likes Jackie. Me he hates, so he'll never show. How do I know this? Because at my previous job, I spent 5 nights a week walking home. After midnight. And might I add that I had one or two days off a week? So you do the math.
I will not walk from this job because it would take me forever to make it back... and then I'd immediately pass out and never make it to work the next day. :p
Still. Tomorrow I get to go job hunting. Yay. Think I'll call about the children gig...
