Aug. 27th, 2007 01:05 pmI must be in my semi-nightmare stretch. A couple of nights ago I dreamt I was being possessed. Uh huh, yeah, that'll teach me to watch the trailer for The Exorcism of Emily Rose before bedtime. Then last night it was that someone had basically neglected my cat so horribly that you could see bone and it was pure luck that kitty wasn't dead. Then, just an hour or so ago, I dreamt this fantastic little dream that I just knew was going to end badly.
In it, I'm going to some convention with a couple of friends, nevermind the fact that I've never gone to a convention in my life, and would hardly start now with those friends. Also, it's in Japan, and while some people are all about the culture shock and are dying to go, even in dreams, I am not that girl. Anyway, we make it it through the doors, which involves a bit of security and is nerve wracking for those of us who obsess over anything we cannot control and are sure the world is going to kill us dead at any given moment. They don't. In fact, as we're wandering around, dream-Ari hisses, "And to your left you'll see My Chemical Romance" and shoots me this weirdly triumphant look, as if that's why we showed up freakishly early to this thing. I'm a dork and not even in dreams do I waltz over to the semi-famous, but it's okay, because I get to see them and it's funtastic. They're leaving the building and someone else shows up to visit Ari, and I'm thinking, damn, even in Japan they'll just appear. Who knew? I'm bored and confused by this new person who my brain is screaming "that's... someone it cannot possibly be!" and dream Ari is saying is someone else. Confused, table for me. I peek out into the next section of the building and it's like I've fallen into a mall where there's water everywhere. Like there are all these waterfalls leading from the second floor to the ground floor [where we are] for no good reason, other than it looks mighty damn cool. And all dream me can think is, "Well, this can't be good."
Sure enough, there's an ominious crack, people chattering overhead, and then all hell breaks loose as the building floods and people are being swirled into sudden death. It is most uncool and yet, kinda awesome all at the same time.
Seriously, waterfalls.
*stalks the mailman* One credit from PBS down, one to go.
Ooooookay. I may not always love Tori's videos, but at least the earlier ones were interesting. You might not "get" them, if there was even something to get, but still, they had their moments. The two [if that actually is bouncing off clouds] from ADP make me cry, and not in a good way. I didn't, and don't, love the stuff from Beekeeper, but they were visually interesting and it was obvious someone, somewhere, worked for those vids. These? They're painful. I could accept Big Wheel as it was an odd song and an overly odd video worked if you squinted and cocked your head to the side, but this just makes me sad.
