the lines blur

There is a reason I do not bother with most commentary on DVDs. It's not that I don't appreciate that it's there. I do. I wish they'd manage to throw one interesting person into each mix as required by law, but I like knowing that if I were so bored that I had nothing else to do, I could listen to all the ways a certain scene sucked someone's soul or something along those lines. Thing is, for each interesting bit of information, you wade through six tons of crap.
Or you realize that in certain areas, your geekdom shines on way more than the geeks talking. I'm talking to you, Supernatural. I've kept disc 6 entirely too long because I didn't watch the extras and damn it, I was going to do that before sending it back. So I decided to do that today, having so many other things to do, but feeling like crap kind of negated my ability to do them well. Anyway, I went straight to the commentary for All Hell Breaks Loose, part one because I wanted to know what they'd say about Eva going evil. Which wasn't a whole hell of a lot. Lots of chat on the mud and moats surrounding roadside diners, but not so much on the ebil. Go figure. Anyway, someone mentions that Katie [tee] played Eva quirky up until she went evil, and then it was like, hello super vixen fantastic.
And you call yourselves horror movie geeks. I mean really. You doubted the evil? The biggest gripe I found on Ginger Snaps 2, aside from the ending, was that it lacked some fun evil Ginger. I mentally slap you lot upside the heads. SLAP.
While watching the various extras, I tidied up my small DVD collection. Mainly so I'd know which seasons I had of various shows.
For those playing along at home:
Gilmore Girls, seasons 1-5 Which makes sense, as isn't season six when they pretty much said piss off to the extras?
Charmed, s1-4 Again, I'm not a huge fan of the later seasons, but I want them. Just... Charmed sets don't go on monumental sale like a lot of the other series do. Woe.
Buffy, seasons 1-3. I actually have season 1 twice. One was a gift and I don't want to give that away, nor do I want to give away the one I managed to win. I don't know how I avoided snagging season 5 on DVD as it's my favorite, or at least tied for favorite, but season 4 is obvious. I cry during all the Oz episodes, despite the fact that I shouldn't.
Scrubs, s1-4. My only excuse is that I was broke when 5 came out, and didn't 6 just come out? Yesssssss.
I don't have a ton of DVDs otherwise, and the sad thing is, I'd much rather fill in my TV collections and snag the ones I don't have any of [Hi, Supernatural] than go around picking up movies. The SHAME! I blame my father. I don't know why, I just do. Maybe because if you buy him a movie he watches on TV every day, twice a day, for an entire year, he will continue to watch it on TV, but three months later, the DVD will still be in it's packaging unless you open it.
... It helps if one actually posts these things, you know. All of that blather is from yesterday.
The hints and address plotting is going well. I should make a list. I should. I won't, but I should. Well, I will, just not now. Oh, and yesterday I cracked 25,000. Yay me? Possibly.
