Mmmmmph, so good. Occasionally I manage to make something so good that plate licking is required. I know, I know, what of manners and decorum? Well what of getting the most out of a fluke? Besides, the cat didn't tell anyone.

Not much going on. Got a letter from the solicitor's office saying, hey, that guy who robbed the store that one time, yeah, we can't prosecute. Not that I know which guy they're talking about and I left the letter downstairs and I don't feel like going to get it to email them, but.. yes. Fun, fun times. But I got that letter Saturday, so by now I'm mostly over it. It's amazing what you can ignore when you're wrapped up in wondering what sort of crack possessed Mel C of the Spice Girls to go blond back in the day.

I keep meaning to post [or hell, in my parents' case, just give them the damn thing] a wishlist, in case you're struck by ooey gooey gobs of money or so we can play compare what you wanted to what you got come boxing day, but I can't seem to work up... much of anything. Which isn't to say I want nothing, nada, zilch... My amazon list will tell you otherwise. :P It's just that when you slice and dice the list down to manageable bits, usually there's a stand out of some sort. And, I dunno, at this point I can't think of what that could be.

I'd like the Nolancey's [My Scene Delancey that looks like Nolee, what with the dark hair] or any of the mini Pullips, particularly those I'm missing [Princi, Rida, Calfy, Assa, Lans Ake & Ai, R], books, movies, and music are always loved. Shiny! Or Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends anything I love you, Foster's. Ooh, or any of the Sweet Valley books I'm missing. Which

I think I own all of six SV Kids books, and all but one or two of them are mucked up in some way. :P I've got a strange section of Jr. High books, but basically anything from the middle straight on to the end of the run [mid teens through to... what, did they end right before 30?] is a safe bet.

Or you could send non-Mystery/Super Special BSC books my way, if you're inclined. Those seem to have mostly survived the lost city of BSC-lantis. [As in I used to have pretty much all of them up til they passed a hundred or so, but now I can find maybe a fifth of them. Woe!]

For whatever reason, I put off reading Poltergeist by Kat Richardson until the book was massively overdue. In my defense, Mumsy lost it shortly after picking it up from the library, so... Anyway, she tells me that if I don't read it immediately after finishing whatever I was reading at the time, she was going to smack me upside the head and return both books, just to vex me.
So I finished, grabbed Poltergeist, and began. Part of the reason I dragged my feet was that I was hoping Greywalker would show up so I could re-read that. No luck, but a lot of it did come back to me as I read the various allusions scattered throughout. Yay! Poltergeist was so good. It didn't hurt that I was reminded a smidge of Rose Red but not so much because they have similar stories [No Stephen King as a pizza delivery guy or anything] but you throw a bunch of people together for psychic goodness, and that's the road my brain will start to skip down, even as I say, "No. Not like that. NOT THE SAME!" Brain still goes skipping. So good. Did I mention good?

Now, I need to sleep. I have the start of a cold and I'd like to sleep while I can. Also, Saturday I have to brave the holiday shoppers. Someone better play Bowie & Big soon, or my half-assed Christmas spirit is going to hell.

Oh, and I'm not much of a shoe-girl, though I have my moments, but I had a serious case of shoe envy this morning. So shiny, so pretty... But they'd kill me. So shiny!
