I love that I have friends who keep book lists like I do. Not only do I feel like less of a freak, but it just makes me realize how awesome my friends are. :-) Though I have to admit, I am bitter than you read 189 books in 2007. A giant difference to my pitiful 28 (or is it 27? I have to check my list when I'm back in NYC). Though I haven't listed graphic novels or any submissions I read for work, which I guess took the place of real reading. The only manuscripts I count are those that are completely edited to the point where they will be the same as when they are eventually published (i.e. no more revisions, or very few, to be made). So I don't count the projects we reject and I read A LOT of those. But I still feel pitiful. :( Though I guess I should feel proud that I read three books in the past week so that I could bump my number up a bit before 2008. :-)
BTW, I also love that you read YA books. I really should send you more of our stuff. Did you like Fanboy and Goth Girl? I have it on my shelf (I stole it from the competetive titles shelf at work) but I haven't read it yet.
YAY for book nerddom
