Mwerp. She's going to do it. She's going to rip up what's left of her life here and move to WV to live with his family, spurred on by his older brother telling them that they should, that they have to. I can understand the wanting to bunk with his family to get on their feet financially, but when one is a little less overtly Christian and not particularly good at masking it, one does not move in with one's over the top fanatical speaking in tongues [but perfectly lovely in other regards] mother in law. In West. Fucking. Virginia.

If I need to clarify that one shouldn't have to mask their religious beliefs, then obviously you need your morning coffee/kick in the shins.

I dunno. Maybe I'm just all twitchy because hi, not all that many friends, and if she flits off to WV, then I'm down to one and two halfsies. Except that was true the last twelve times she's mentioned this, and no doubt still a little true, but I still think being forced to move in with your in-laws, even if they're nice and loverly for the most part, is a bad idea. It's one thing if you've got a super plan, agreed on by the both of you [as well as the ILs] and there's an end in sight. But to be bullied there by someone else? To run away to a place you don't know and have admitted on numerous occasions you have no desire to live? The neon signs along the highway all scream turn back, dumb ass.

Then there's the simple fact that most guys turn obnoxiously weird when presented with their family, particularly their mothers.

I need a drink. A lot of them, in fact. I'll settle for my soda.
