apathy should never apply to books

I have a pile of library books that all looked very interesting while I was adding them to the stack in my arms, but now that I'm home, I'm not particularly interested in any of them. Maybe it's being in the middle of three series, and only one of them is stalled due to the book not being released yet [so, really it shouldn't count if not for me having read the first three so recently] or maybe I'm tired of reading. Or maybe I just picked the wrong book to try first, although that's hardly fair since I've yet to make it past paragraph one. Your guess is as good as mine.
Spent a chunk of yesterday evening helping Widget clean his new room. The boy sort of moved out, and as such, the Widge gets to take over the boy's room. Thing is, the boy trashed his room over the years. I couldn't do a damn thing for the carpet [and I'm thinking I should keep a pair of flipflops outside the room for me, since I don't walk around with shoes on in the house, but the floor is nasty] but I did give the Widge my bottle of Fantastic Oxy, and sprayed all the various stains on the wall that I refused to overthink. Luckily thinking became impossible because of the fumes. Widge is really excited about his room, and that's so cute, so I'm thinking I'll keep an eye out for a small bookcase or something for him.
Kay, when I rack up the extra points or Friday, or... maybe tomorrow/later today, I'm getting the Private book set [books 1-4 since the library stopped at book 1] and Rachel Caine's Chill Factor. That's the plan anyway.
