That'd be Eric, btw. I didn't call Asher being gay, nor did I call him being a total asshole, but since I just caught up on last week's episode a couple of hours ago... I didn't really have time. It's a shame, cuz I think it could have been interesting to see Jenny try to use/be used by Asher. On the other hand, with Blair taking Asher down [and woo for waiting for the okay from Eric] that means that insufferable Jenny might actually be done with. I do hope Rufus won't go too easy on her just because she's been publicly humiliated again, and it being part of her own damn fault anyway.
Still love Rufus/Lilly. Will probably always love them, actually. While wanting to throttle Lilly [is it with an extra L? I'm too lazy to look it up] for immediately assuming Georgina was wrong and for the whole being gay is wrong, totally wrong reaction, she recovered nicely, and I was still high on Blair knocking bitchy!Jenny out of the group. Kinda weird that Nelly Yuki was actually put into the group, and I wish-wish-wish Isobel, Nelly, and Blair had told Hazel, Penelope, and the nice one to fuck off.
One massive complaint though: Blair/Serena is my one true love. It can be totally platonic as taking it elsewhere would be weird for me, but I need more than coffee dates and missed phone calls. I need them to hang out! For the world to tremble at their feet, or at least gossip madly about them. Something. Anything.
Until then, I will be more than satisfied with scenes where the normally overly reserved Blair declares undying loyalty to someone who slept with her boyfriend not so long ago... only to have perfect Serena confess she's killed someone. DAMN. And here I thought she'd just had a threesome with Georgie and some dude. Someone died? Had they left me hanging with Serena about to confess and told me to tune in next week [I can't! I have to work!], I would have killed someone and broken my strict vow of no spoilers.
While I still think of Nate as mostly just exceptionally pretty, he's charming and pretty, and I'm wishing he'd get more screentime, but as it is, the episodes always feel too short. Poor Chuck has gotten a bit short changed, and I might grow to love TV!Vanessa, I still keep waiting for book V to show up.
The jury's still out on Georgie. On the one hand, I do so love the psychopaths, especially when they tip the scales in Blair's favor. On the other, I don't see good times ahead for her, and I want my pyschopaths happy. Y'know, ruining people.
So, last week's Gossip Girl? Meh. Good effort, but not enough to truly hook me. This week's? Hot damn!
The bananas didn't fare so well, but the oatmeal rum cookies? I could die of joy. I'm off to hide the rum.
...apparently I finally snagged an early review copy of a book. Only, the note is dated a month ago and... uh, no book. That's utterly fantastic.
