Oh, good lord. I don't know how exactly it happened, but I ended up joining the Poupee cult. And I'll be damned if it isn't addictive. *pinches chubby cheeks* Cuz mine's cute, dammit, even if she's got nothing super special. Cute. She's got freckles, too.



Note to self: Angel Whispers smells an awful lot like soap after an extended period of time, to the point that it's making me a little ill. That'd be the scented oil candle refill thing. Cute. Pretty. Smells nice for a little while. Gag worthy after that. Good to know.

I don't get why Extras got so many scathing reviews. I've read the first three, and while I think I'd shoot myself if we actually lived in Aya's sort of city [although, to be fair, sometimes it seems like we're awfully close, which I imagine is the point being made] it wasn't a bad book. Yes, it lost a little in terms of Earth Shattering Consequences, but, y'know, they can't blow things up all the time. I'm sure I've done this before, but if you're just tuning in, you should be reading Scott Westerfeld's stuff. Except Evolution's Darling. That I really can understand why it's a bit of a pain to find. But his other stuff? Yes. Go read. Now.

What is that Poupee thing exactly?

Poupee is like dolly crack. Like if Neopets had said to hell with the games and animals and just gone for girls buying stuff for their little dolly self. You get your ribbons/money and you wander around, throwing said ribbons away on dresses and clothes and shoes and who knows what else. You get your ribbony crack for taking a snapshot of your doll daily, for commenting on other people's stuff, and uploading pictures of your own clothes/dolls/accessories/fashion-y things.... which people could also comment on, thus giving you more money to spend. You also pick up shells at random and when you get five, you throw those suckers into this fountain and it'll spit something out at you. Usually.

It is cracktastic, I swear. I blew five hours just wandering around trying to get the hang of it and suddenly, without warning, I thought, "I shall buy my little chubby cheeked princess something they don't give you free!" and the next thing I know, the sun has come up and I'm groggier than I had any right to be.
