First and foremost: Happy birthday, ghosty4! I hope your birthday has been fantastic thus far and gets even better. :) *hugs and confetti*

And in honor of said birthday, we shall... pick apart a scathing review of Teen Witch, a movie so awesome that some people just cannot grasp the awesome contained within. For that, I pity them. But mostly I do have one thing to clarify with said review: JK Rowling didn't rip Teen Witch off [as awesome as it is], she totally swiped the awesome of another witch movie/series. Yes. The Worst Witch.

Fine. I didn't pick it apart. I just pointed and laughed at the clips contained within. Cuz, y'know, as awesome as TW is, it's not exactly perfect, though I will always love it. Always.

And thus concludes our daily blather for now. Witches and birthdays, a combination made in geek heaven. :D

Well gee Eric D. Snider, I guess if HP is a movie about a magical boy and Teen Witch is about a magical girl, they MUST be EXACTLY ALIKE. Only they're completely different and (yes) HP was a rip-off of The Worst Witch starring everyone's favorite (and sometimes batshit crazy) witch, Fairuza Balk. I really DETEST when people who are obviously not fantasy fans compare two fantasy stories using only the most basic adjectives because their simpleton minds do not comprehend, and then decide that the two things MUST be EXACTLY the same because they cannot seem to grasp the EXTREME differences between the two.

I love that he used that accusation at Harry Potter as an excuse to springboard into a humorous, weird decades-too-late review of Teen Witch. Like he had an agenda and he wasn't going to let a little thing like HP being NOTHING like Teen Witch stop him.

My faves were when he said the brother looked like Rosie O'Donnell (he totally did) and the crack about Zelda Rubinstein being a small medium at large. HAHAHAHA!!!! Though clearly if he doesn't get the amazingness of Top That, he really doesn't deserve to be critiquing Teen Witch AT ALL!!!

BTW, this is why we're friends, right here. LOL!
