After looking around at various network sites (my favorite has to be ABC) for shows that look interesting this year, I've come to the conclusion that this year is a sucking void for what appears to be interesting new shows. SUCKING VOID, people. And again, all the stuff I'm semi-interested in falls on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with the exception of Gossip Girl and... I think there are a couple of things that speak, but don't speak loudly. Truly, the only new show that grabs my interest, other than growling in frustration at CBS for not calling the new NCIS "NCIS:L.A.!" so I can get my jollies, is Eastwick. Sadly, this excludes anything new on Fox because I will not watch Fox unless it's for Dollhouse, or someone telling me that House has returned from the void of suck-i-tude.
And none of this counts the real joy of the year: The CW. I'm actually looking forward to their parade of trainwrecks they call shows this year. Go figure. We've got Melrose Place which I'm interested in despite myself. There's The Vampire Diaries which looks interesting because it's been such a long time since I saw a show that seemed to be trying for high school with people who haven't seen HS age in yeaaaaaaaaaaaars. [Excluding my confusion over some of the cast of Gossip Girl. That was a different reaction.] And I kind of want to watch the world implode for The Beautiful Life.
Thing is, possibly excluding TVD, none of these scream "shows you will enjoy!" and look more like things to watch and mock, but happily.
Widge is all excited about my belated birthday present from Cass. He's plotting all the ways he'll make-over the little condo you get on the website and it's cute, though also exhausting.
