Oh, little nephew of mine... Why are you such a thief? I would have given you a snow cone if you'd asked. I would probably have shared my potato chips with you, if not outright given you the bag... but now my chips are shoved under the desk, my mouse is sticky, and the keyboard is hiccuping.
It never fails. I decide I'm going to spend super fun awesome time with him and then... I come home and he's destroyed stuff. And also left all the fans in the room on for some odd reason. o_O
NYARGH.
Anyway. I didn't take the massive test on money laundering. Instead I spent the evening checking dates on candy. Your outdated candy is mine. Let me throw it across the floor.
Ivy is on her way! :D I'm way more excited than I should be. I'll be friggin' 29 and I'm all, "EEE! A TOY!" But I was trying to remember the last Big Toy I got for a birthday. Sam and Kirsten were either birthday or Christmas (or one of each? No one remembers, though odds are good Kirsten was a birthday doll), HTA was Christmas for sure, Ruthie was after Cass took us to AGP:A for her birthday, Nellie was Thanksgiving archival panic, Sonali was Valentine's Day, and Jess and Lizbeth were, "Ahoy, deals!"
So, um... birthday squee?

Pretty Little Liars:
1x03: To Kill A Mocking Girl
First, this is a waste of an episode title. Save it for when someone dies, or Hanna gets taken down. But it's a good title and I think I like each episode more than the one before it, and that is almost always a good thing.
And so we move on. I like seeing the girls interact as a group as it didn't tend to happen often enough in the books. Granted they were big on the group flashback at the start of each book, but still. It's also interesting to see that Hanna seems to keep finding herself in this weird mix of bottom of the pack and Ali stand in, though not quite leader when that happens.
Meredith is way more aggressive here than I remember in the books and I like this change because it gives me hope. Ella stays happy as long as possible, people. That. Is. The. Rule. Also, it makes it easier to really frickin' hate blondie. Who hits on their married ex in front of his kid? And then makes friends with the wife and further antagonizes the teenage girl-kid? Really, who does that?
Oh, hey there, Spencer's backbone. I was wondering when you'd make your stand against Melissa and Mumsy... and how quickly they would shoot you down. The problem with Wren liking Spencer, and Spencer sort of liking him back and then stealing Melissa's paper? It makes Spence less... likable? Forgivable? Something. In the books, you understand that Spencer is beyond stressed because home is nothing but a ticking time bomb when it comes to stress.
Also, I don't buy that Melissa kept the same freakin' laptop for 6 years. No way, no how. Not with how much of a spoiled priss she comes across.
Wren's accent is all kinds of swoon worthy, but he's also coming across as a jackass and the accent can't save him.
I cheered a little when Toby kicked Ben's ass. I'd have cheered more but there's that whole Jenna thing hanging over head...
Heh. This episode (and thus the others) takes place in the FUTURE. Spencer's paper is dated 9/24/10
Hey, Emily, if you don't want everyone to know you're kissing a girl, don't do it in the photobooth at a massive, raging party that just about everyone is attending...
Toby in general makes things more interesting because as of now, it puts the creepy factor on him as well as Jenna.
And to be totally superficial: Maya looked adorable at the bike rack, and 'hefty' Hanna is super cute, although that's some unfortunate hair.
