Some days you just can't win, at least not all the battles you happen to fight. My computer isn't making me want to punch things, so I guess I'm ahead there. But everywhere else? Not so much.

My hunt for Clawdeen has yielded no luck. The Dawn of the Dance dolls? Also no luck other than Frankie from Mattel, which I went ahead and caved even though she was last on my list. I'm miffed, so if you happen to have a Clawdeen of either persuasion or DotD Cleo pop up near you and you trust me to pay you back (probably via paypal), I will sing songs about your awesomeness. Otherwise I'll pray I can sweet talk my way to TRU on Sunday and we'll see if I get lucky by then.

I'm looking for a new hoodie or sweater to wear to work and that's not going well, probably because I don't want to spend $45 before shipping on this thing. *scowl* Also, I might be diverting my attention a little.

But the proof that today is not my day comes in the form of the Double Stuff Golden Oreos I bought this morning from the Harris Teeter I normally visit. After a couple of cookies I noticed they tasted... less yummy than their non DS counterparts. I was confused so I snagged a third one. Hrmm. An idea was forming but I was thwarted by whatever my last hope for Clawdeen online was. As I cautiously nibbled my fourth cookie, I looked at the expiration date. Sonofabitch, these things are a month outdated, which means they should have been yanked two months ago.

DAMMIT. All I wanted was to buy a pretty shiny monster high doll, get my friggin' sweater replaced, and have a goddamned cookie.

Really, universe? You had to take the cookies away too?

I know how you feel. Lost the cels yesterday, had to have a 'meeting' with my defensive, hateful subordinate, my Schlotzsky's sandwich was overpriced, bacon uncooked and they left off the avacado, so the universe seems to be taking it out on many people lately. :(

I'll keep an eye out for you for Clawdeen, but I'm starting to lose hope that I'll see any more down here. The initial ones seemed to sell out pretty quickly, except for one C/D set between both Target and Walmart. They've gotten in the plushes and Fearbooks at Target now, so I'm hope hope hoping they'll bring DotD here too.

I hate it when my food orders get mucked up at restaraunts. Woe for the avacodo that got lost in transmission! (I might not like them, but I would never begrudge someone their tasty nums.)

I run across Draculaura and C/D a lot. I'm hoping that I can remember I want to buy Ari plush Count Fab for her birthday and that they'll still have them. Frickin' Target's display keeps taunting me.

Oooh yeah, our Target never did put up that neat display I kept hearing about on here. It's just crammed at the end of the aisle with a hodgepogdge of the Livs, moxies and BFCs. They never got those new ones like the Asian girl in either. Grrr. Stupid town.

Yeah, if I'd known they were going to do that, I would've just gone to Subway where I could've had twice the sandwich and verified the contents. Oh well, it's not the first time, so it will keep me from going back there for a looong time.

Hee. That reminds me of one of the servers at the Applebees near work. Their location is closing and he was talking about how bad word of mouth did them in, and my coworker is nodding and agreeing that it can be killer. Me, I'm trying not to remember the so raw it practically moo-d at me burger I had there the first and last time I went to that one. *twitch* There's getting the order wrong and then there's just... ugh, no. At least when Sonic bungles my order, it costs less and it isn't mooing at me.

You should totally hop a plane and come visit my Target. The MH section was pretty much devoid of anything for sale other than C/D and an endcap filled with plushes (and more C/D) and yet there's the glorious display taunting everyone with what they cannot have. If the toy section weren't so close to the stockroom, and I weren't such a lawabiding citizen, I might have to visit the hardware section for a hammer to spring Clawdeen from her prison.
