And now I need a Clawdeen icon

I don't think the post office realized that yesterday was Thursday and not Monday. Which meant it's possible
zallia thought I was ignoring her shiny, shiny box to me. Which is just not true!
I intended to go all "boxed photo squee!" but that did not happen. For one, I looked at her diary last night (I didn't get her til dinner time and it was an early night at work) and for another, I couldn't wait the half an hour for semi-decent light before deboxing her. CLAWDEEN. *grabby hands*
Seriously. It went pretty much like that. I think I took the box and pranced up the stairs last night. Pranced.

Kind of like this. Only with less boots.
Crescent wanted in the pictures only things were not going my way beyond "CLAWDEEN!" squee-age. Whatever. She's a cat. She'll get even while I snooze.

Let's take half a second to admire the pretty, pretty pumpkin. I bought it from Michael's during a freakish storm a couple of weeks ago. Clawdeen claimed it. But she then gave it back when Crescent started sharpening her claws on it.

Crescent! Her tail is bendier than I would have imagined.

I don't even remember fidgeting with her coat while taking pictures. But I must have. *muse*

She's beau-t-i-ful. :D I love her hair, which would explain why some people freaked right out when pictures of DotD Clawdeen surfaced. Her hair is so pretty as it is!

Oddly enough, one of the things that kept me from ordering Clawdeen waaaaay back when I could have (right before my birthday, maybe?) was my ambivilence towards the fangs. I say oddly because I think Clawdeen works them better than Draculaura. Woo!

I suppose I should not have underestimated the combined powers of short-boxing, purple, and werewolves. I have learned much this day.

Clawdeen was packaged with love and care and actual bubble wrap (which is infinitely more than any of the other dolls were packaged with) and she had a stow-away or two.

BEHOLD!

She's a wee bit drunk, I fink. Clawdeen's left arm is a little loose so she couldn't hold the other Venus cuteness, so please excuse the flash washing things out. My lamp died halfway through the photos. Hopefully it was just the light bulb fizzing and not the whole thing.
I cannot thank you enough. You are awesome. You made my day when you said you'd snagged her and again when she arrived. :D She gave me a reason to hunt the mailman aside from insurance stuff and she's so friggin' pretty! (Characterwise, she's a bit on the fluffy shallow end of the pool, isn't she? Aside from the family dynamics, that is. And I need more of the D/C friendship. Yes. Now. )
The added bonus of Sailor Venus cute overload? :D Which is roughly translated like:
^__________^
There. Wide enough to look happy, not so wide to look like a frog. Except now. Now it looks like a frog because I said that. Happy as a frog just doesn't work. You get the idea.
Thank you so, so so much!

Date: 2010-10-08 06:22 pm (UTC)Such pretty pictures of her! I was in such a rush to get her out that morning that I had a momentary panic of "OMG I forgot which senshi is her favorite! No time to look on the laptop and find the post! Think think!" lol Unfortunately, they're all pretty much that way since they were all crammed in a tightly wrapped bag. Some aren't even attached to the caps anymore, so those are actually the best of the bunch.
If I end up coming across Ghoulia should I grab her for you too? I'm willing to send her on first since my MH dolls are still in their boxes and I don't even have DotD yet.

Date: 2010-10-09 12:23 pm (UTC)You remembered the V luv! Now I can ask... other than adorable beyond reason, what exactly are they? I suppose I could look it up, but I'm laaaaaaaazy and I'm betting your explination will be more interesting anyway.

Date: 2010-10-13 03:37 pm (UTC)No luck with Ghoulia/Holt. Target still has a lot of the first set, Walmart just the dregs and Kmart still has absolutely nothing Monster High. I'm still hoping to get them in town or free shipping, but if you see a good deal online, let me know. :) Stupid Mattelshop keeps yanking them or whatever they're doing.
Lol, I have no idea why Japan makes those, because I'm pretty sure they come in boxes and not actually on drinks. Maybe Japanese people like to decorate the drinks they're currently drinking by carrying these around and recapping sodas they've bought? It's going to drive me nuts though because despite getting a fat sack of them, I'm still missing just a couple. Gah!

Date: 2010-10-15 04:42 pm (UTC)Ghetto Walmart (as in the only non-Super Walmart around and thus the only one I will venture into because I know two ways to run screaming from the store) has the occasional rag doll and C/D. The price keeps increasing.
Target closest to me: More rag dolls than Walmart, but even that's running low. Shit-ton of Fearbooks though. C/D gather dust.
Kmart: "...what now?" But they had the new Bratz dolls so I guess it was a trade off.
Haven't made it to TRU since my Clawdeen find and I'd rather shove hot nails in my skin than venture into the mall and be judged @ Justice and then have to pay $30 for Ghoulia if she was there. (Seriously, like I'd just leave her there? No.)
Oh, Japan. You cute-ify everything! I would probably go nuts if I was just missing a few. Is there a list of the cute somewhere?

Date: 2010-10-15 05:41 pm (UTC)I thought I'd found a picture online, but can't seem to find it now. I think the slips that came with it list them all.

This shows the main girls, but there's Tux and Darien as well, plus the two cats and I think Sailor V? Plus clear versions of the main 5. They're all still in the bag, so I need to take inventory and see who I'm missing and hopefully trade the extras for what I'm missing since I'm not paying the $10 each that ebay wants for 'em. If you're interested in anyone else, let me know. Or if you just want a preview sale of all the extra SM stuff I've acquired lol. It's much more cost-beneficial to buy in lots on Y!J so I'm accumulating a number of different extras.
