It's St. Lucia Day! :D Which... I really only know about because of Kirsten. So... I present to you, shinies!

My Kirsten doesn't have her tray of goodies to offer you breakfast. I'm sorry. I think it was archived before I had a chance to buy it. WOE. Anyway. Kirsten got dressed up and decided that since St. Lucia day kicks off Christmas in Sweden, she'd inspect my tree. Make sure it was up to her exacting standards.

Shiny! You'd never know this was like, noon, would you?

More of my tree and Kirsten, but with flash. No, Kirsten's wreath does not have workable lights. I wonder if, if they'd released Kirsten now, if her wreath would've had little LED lights in the candles?

Yeah, it's now just variations on the same pic. Hush.

This is my Felicity in her loverly outfit from Lizziebee Design's dress. I'd originally intended to buy the blue dress, but the more I looked at this one, the more I loved it. Originally it was bought for HTA, who looks fairly similar to Lyssie (reddish hair, green eyes) but HTA's feet are too big for the shoes. HTA doesn't mind too much though since this means that a holiday dress has been freed up so she can wear something other than the Twilight Blue thing she's been wearing since 2001. (It was so cute then! And now she's so sick of it. And by "she", I of course mean I am. I think it needs a break.)

The headband. Sorry, working with less than ideal lighting conditions. It's sparkly and nifty.

Mom thinks she needs a punch of color somewhere. Me? I think it's perfect as is. I actually kind of shrieked when it arrived. It was gift wrapped and everything. And it's so soft! Pardon me while I'm all "eeeee" over the idea of it all.

Like I said. Noonish. Maybe closer to one in the afternoon yesterday, but still.

But wait, what if you wanted to see the tree?

This is my Christmas tree this year. I went in for a purple tree and came out with a blue tree that is sometimes blue, sometimes teal, and sometimes a variety of blues in between. It's hard to describe other than I cannot photograph it to save my life. In person it's kind of jaw-droppingly pretty. Which is weird because the original plan was for it to be a lark and for it to be as completely trashy as a blue tree should be.
Guys. It's actually pretty. What have I done?

You can see the bird I picked up from the Christmas Shop near work. It's loverly, no? Yes. There's a glass bird in my room waiting for it to be a smidge closer to Christmas before I add it just in case the cat gets... twitchy. Thus far she's completely ignored the tree, so here's hoping.

There are two of these little birds on my tree. Widget has two for his tree as well. He got them in his advent calendar last year. I'd forgotten that there were two more and so I used them for my tree when I felt it needed something more than purple ornaments and silver bows.
The bows and the silver beaded garland are from Big Lots (as is the tree), the big fluffy bird and the tree skirt thing are from the Christmas Shop, and the other ornaments are from Walmart. Blue Christmas indeed. It doesn't have a topper because I haven't found one yet. Spectra has offered to perch upon my tree if I need her to, however.
It's frickin' cold and I have to go shower. Not looking forward to freezing to death when I return. Sacrifices must be made! I just wish they didn't involve the very real possibility of my hair freezing into icicles. When working on my Lila fic, my pen was so cold it stopped working. o_O
