Yay! Ben/Mal fic that won't end in "and that's why Ben or Mal is dumb or skanky"! Y'know, assuming the plot bunnies bite hard enough.
This is why I jot down ideas in my notebooks, to always give them something to munch on. Considering how much I've mined that book already, it definitely couldn't hurt ~ plus, I have both a Mal and a Ben prompt on my table, I think.
That comm definitely pushed the Pikes closer to the spotlight.
Yeah, I feel like a one-woman counterwave for Thomas family love, LOL. But it's nice - I never really gave them much thought back in the day, so to have appreciated seeing them become vibrant characters in the hands of fandom.
