What a great post! I'm going to copy this and answer it myself over in my journal.
Oh, and The Worst Witch is AWESOME. I need to get it on DVD (I used to have an ancient VHS copy of it because my former stepmother was a pathological TV recorder - seriously, she'd tape ANYTHING) but I don't know what happened to it. I do actually still have a working VCR though (I use it to watch BSC videos, ha.)
