impyWell, further proof that on my list of things I do not do well, figuring out dimensions from mere numbers on a screen is on the list. Near the top. Right near "read maps" and "have a functioning sense of direction." Curse you, too small boxes!
Back to the drawing board. On the plus side, I snagged two useful boxes from work.
If only I had a place to move. :P
Last night of work this week. Also the last night with this manager. :( I like her and she doesn't believe in working harder all the time. You do what you've gotta do and then you have some fun cuz god knows day shift slacks off at every turn. I'm not sure who is replacing her. At first we thought it would be someone from day shift, but that apparently didn't happen. (The other peasants rejoiced. I personally don't mind her but I also don't work with her.) Then I was told a transfer would get it. Then J said he was actually in the running. Who knows?
Tourist season has officially begun, which I always forget is a Thing. Maybe because I work fairly close to the beach so it's always kinda tourist season, and maybe it's because the only way to get through it is to block it out. Sadly, when driving by the island Teeter, we noticed it was surprisingly busy for damn near 10pm and work really got jumping around 2AM. Which is after bar thirty and before server thirty, and it was bunches of people who all had no idea where anything was so... yeah. Tourists descending!
Plus, duh, Memorial Day weekend. But I always forget about that because tomorrow is always birthday to two of my most favorite people.

zallia! Both will be getting belated birthday presents. Mums because she wants a bed (though she does seem to be willing to settle for tickets to the new Star Trek movie) and z because my hopes of finding new MH failed. And also I'm either really decisive about gifts (this! this will be perfect and nothing and no one can tell me otherwise!) or I spend weeks waffling back and forth between things. :P
But I took tomorrow night off (and so did just about everyone else at work for the overnight shift) so we'll see what little surprises I can cook up.

Date: 2013-05-24 07:45 pm (UTC)Yeah, I really thought at least PD Wave 2 would have found its way on to more shelves by now since people were reporting that one a long time ago, but still no go. And then somebody pulls out Bloodgood, wtf?! Do you want? I want the doll, but not the horse. Though it does look exactly like my old She-ra horse, mold-wise, to where I can even feel it in my hands again. I seem hard to buy for this year anyways, so I'm fine waiting. ;)
This weekend started craziness, too! We went to Starbucks this morning and waited like half an hour!! All kinds of BS this weekend, but at least the library's not too bad.
Haha, I was throwing out boxes last week and I was thinking "I wish I could save these for Marian somehow..." :p
