There's a version of Baby, It's Cold Outside that work has played for the last two years and I'm trying to find out what it is because it's awful. The problem is that they play at least three different versions of the song and I'm pretty sure that's me lowballing the number. It's not the Dolly Parton/Rod Stewart one (though they do play that one) or the Jessica Simpson/Nick number although that is also played. It's driving me a bit bonkers. And since just about everyone goes off on the song in general, I can't just outsource this to other people. :P


That said, in my attempt to find it, I found this version and everything is better now:

In other news, I cleaned a little. I managed to get that weird space between the sink and the wall back to as clean, if not cleaner, than when we moved in. I feel so freakin' accomplished about that, you have no idea.


Hunh. If one's doctor's office moves and you've talked to them in the meantime, you'd think it would have come up at some point...

The problem is that a LOT of people have covered this horrible song, so it's hard to narrow it down. I missed my post last night because I fell asleep way early, but I'll post about this song tonight when I get home. While I hate the song for the lyrics/message there are a couple of versions that actually sound good (I'll link to one in my post tonight if I can find it on YouTube.)

I don't get why so many people cover it though I guess it's because it's a duet and that's a selling point for artists? Lyrically I can go either way on the creepy factor, but it's never been anywhere near my favorite Christmas song and hearing six versions a night is a bit much. :P I do like Dolly's version though I could leave Rod Stewart out of the equation entirely.

I'm trying to remember what it is about the song that vexes me beyond the voices that grate on my nerves. Unfortunately for me, my brain decides to protect itself by hitting the eject button on the specifics.
