I Just Can't Walk Away

I damn near had a heart attack when she popped her head in the office a few minutes ago. But it was just about putting the puzzle stuff in the staff room away. I had already been warned that she was in a pissy mood, but she just asked me how my Christmas was and was pretty jovial...then she saw R in the hallway who cancelled her annual leave last week when BL wasn't here and has been warned at that before and got chewed out just out of earshot. I was taking my time putting away the table, trapped. Then she asks if I heard and I was like "Uh, no!" but then she's all "Oh, too bad, I would have had you write that up" instead of "I shouldn't berate coworkers in front of other coworkers", but nope. Then I heard about someone else she groused at, so....don't know if I'm getting off okay or it's just on a delay. :/
