You'd think asking the internet for pictures would yield better results

... I am disappointed, EAH fandom. Most disappointed. I can't go one image search into the MH fandom without finding a thousand comparisons of various versions of the same character (I myself have contributed to this and have every intention of continuing to do so) but you go looking for the same in EAH and DENIED.

I lucked out a little and found a few pictures of the variants out there (like Cerise's newer versions have eyes that are spread wider apart) but I need more. I need to know the minute differences between the different versions of Apple before she manages to convince me to buy every version of her even though I am TRYING to be good. Raven will have less luck because while I love her as a character, I think they fumbled the doll execution. Big time. My Raven looks like she's about three seconds away from cutting someone and then delighting in the carnage. It is almost unsettling. I say almost because, well, I have Princi to protect me.

Sooo... when my google fu failed me (and as I'm STILL sick this doesn't surprise me) I asked in the EAH comm. I'm hoping for more responses because as of now I've gotten one and while I am grateful (truly), I was hoping for more.

Oh, my Mattel order came yesterday. :D I'm unsure what I'm going to do with Madde 2, but I opened Cerise immediately. Didn't get the wider eyed variant (woe!) but I still think mine is pretty cute. How the blue hell are you supposed to get her cloak off, though?

And also, I don't normally (ever?) complain about the glue used to secure the doll's hair, but on the back of her hood, Cerise has this dark grease stain that I am left to conclude is from the glue. Which would be bad enough, but when I went to wash it out of her hair, clumps of her hair fell out. WTF is the point of the glue then?

Raven, like I said, looks like she's a bit psychotic. She's very angry looking.

Ugh. Now I feel like I'm on fire.

I would like for whatever this is to go away, thank you.

Tomorrow I get the joy of going mattress shopping. For Widget. Such joy, I cannot even begin to describe.

I have just seen you post on the comm.

I will do some comparison shots for you from the dolls I have.
Will do them tomorrow fro you. Not been on LJ all week or I would of done it sooner for you.

Got all the sig dolls (both versions) and the Getting Fairest dolls, I don't have the legacy day dolls or the Hatastic dolls.

I have just recently bought (this week) the original version of Cerise and Blondie that you can only get in the US. Luckily Amazon US sent me the versions I didn't have. I actually preffer them to the newer versions that we got in the UK.

I can also use some of my friends photos of the Hattastic and LD dolls to edit them next to my dolls. I think that would give you an even better choice.

This line is so weirdly distributed around here that it makes comparing anything really difficult, and something tells me that my place cannot handle a "collect them all" approach to this.

Eeee! Thank you so, so much for doing this. I don't think I could thank you enough, so imagine thank yous being said for an hour (by then my voice would give out) and a confetti cannon and parade in your honor. You are my hero.

This helps out a ton. Also, Blondie looks incredibly different from one variation to the other. So strange as I wasn't expecting her to look like an entirely different character.

It's brilliant now as I have a chart of the differences.

Doesn't she, I do prefer the US version.
She looks younger and cuter.

For me the Cerise issue bugs me.
They go from one eye screening to another eye screening and placement.
But for me Hatastic Cerise wins, she is stunning.

The US version of Blondie does look younger which is why I think I prefer that one. She also looks less like a yellow haired version of Apple to me as opposed to the second version.

Hatastic Cerise is gorgeous. She's the only doll of the whole bunch Mums and I agreed on as we both zeroed in on her and went, "That one."

Okay, so at the front of the cloak there is a silver clasp.
On the right side of that clasp there is a fastening that just pulls out of the hole.
