My heart is kind of broken right now. Yes, it's the fact that Robin Williams is dead and the suicide angle just makes it worse. Over the years I saw a lot of his movies (some over and over) and I might've had some odd crush on him during that time which probably explains my love of painfully funny people. Some celebrities you feel like you've loved forever and he's one of those.
I secured my place in hell by thinking, "Dammit, CBS, you couldn't have just renewed The Crazy Ones?" after I realized it wasn't a hoax. I'm blaming shock.
Now I'm gonna go cry and ... nope, just cry.

Any time anyone even broaches the idea of suicide being selfish, I immediately snap back, "If you've never been depressed, then there's no way you can even understand it." Because, quite frankly, there isn't.

I've also avoided the people I know who don't get that depression is a very real, very awful thing for fear of me having to backhand them because they probably won't ever get it. Which is good for them in that it means they're not depressed (yay! and also jealousy!) but vexing because empathy is a thing.
