Halloween round up

Since I took down my Halloween decorations today, I figure it's only fair to show the AG army in their Halloween gear. The delay is because I'm lazy.
Originally I'd decided I wasn't going to go the BSC route because it's lazy. So lazy. And then I remembered I'm seriously lacking in doll costumes sooooooo... I was lazy.

You know those ping pong ball ghosts that popped up on Pinterest this year? Yeah, I tried that. And it worked pretty well! Here's one haunting the group. :D

And there are two more ghosts.
L to R:
Sonali as Jessi, Saige as Mal, McKenna as Shannon, Kirsten as Dawn, Ruthie as Mary Anne, Sam as Kristy, Lane as Claudia, and Lizbeth as Stacey.

I'm least pleased with Stacey and this is because I'd actually really wanted Jade to play her (y'know, for the Stacey cut her hair years) but also because I lack a curly haired blonde in my group. Who knew? Anyway, this just... didn't work. However, Lane as Claud makes me happy so I'll call it a draw.

Ruthie worked really well as MA, actually, and here you can see Sam's black mark from that damn dress. (It's still there but faint after a week's worth of zit treatment.)

Of the group, I'm actually most pleased with Saige as Mal.

She's got that hair that waffles between brown with red highlights and actual red hair (much like book!Mal waffled for quite awhile) and it's curly that could go horribly wrong if I weren't careful. Saige is probably going to be wearing this for awhile because I love it so. You win this round, Mallory Pike!
(And no Abby because the only curly haired brunette I have was playing MA.)
Annnnnnnnnd everyone else:

Back row:
Jess in Molly's hula costume, Nellie in Emily's tap costume, Miss Victory!, MG as a goddess, Cecile as Alice in Wonderland, Ivy the black cat, Hannah in the Talent Show costume (Meatloaf is her partner in crime), HTA as a witch.
Front Row:
Lyssie in the Ruby Ballet costume, Kanani in one of Isabelle's ballet costumes, Leia as an ice skater, and Jade as... Jade.

Molly can't see a darn thing, but who cares, it's Miss Victory! :D
I don't have a thing about my dolls sharing outfits for the most part, but only Molly wears this. Only Molly WILL wear this, and yes, that means I've been sitting on it for two years or so and only now has it been worn. You're welcome, Molly.

Jade and Kanani in their matching outfits. (Jade is just wearing the sweater that goes with Leia's outfit.)

Jade is killing me with her cuteness.

Spamming up the joint, sorry.

I have a serious weakness for dancing outfits. Also, ice skating outfit finally got some use. It sheds like craaaaaaaaaaaaaazy.

Naturally shots of Leia didn't work out so well. SOON, my pretty. Soon. Went with Leia because she looks nothing like Princess Leia so that amuses me and I figure her parents are grade A geeks and I liked the L suggestions from irishgypsie and zallia.
You can totally see it now, can't you? She's the daughter of some serious geeks and she's got the choice to rebel and be the jock (which bugs her because hello, cliche much?) or buy into it and be her own geeky self, but maybe she'll dabble in some princess finery too... only damn you, Disney, you own Star Wars and princess is now ~Princess~ and what is a girl to do?
Oh, my sweet. You'll fit in here.

Nani is love.

MGs! Mur Grace and Jade do that same doll, different hair thing.

Hi, Leia!

I have no qualms about breaking up doll friendships once they arrive on my property, but the amount of crazy surrounding MG/Cecile means these two are BFF FOR FREAKIN' EVER. You cannae have one wit'out the other, dammit. No, I don't know why I'm spelling things weird tonight.

HTA makes a cute witch. Also, this costume fits PM dolls really well, which is why Sam usually wears it when she's not being Kristy or Lila.

I was too lazy to set up the hoops this outfit comes with, but um, it's a fun little set.

"Meatloaf, it's over. She's not breaking out the hoops, you heard her."

Meatloaf accepts none of this.

Cutest pet AG has done. Possibly ever.

Ever!

And this just makes me laugh.
Annnnnnd finally, some pictures of the house's decorations. :)

Like I said, I did those Pinterest ghosts and this is one of my favorites.

More of them.

I made this bags our last year at the house so they've made it through three Halloweens now. This is my favorite of them, which is why it was closest to the door.

Just inside the front door and to the left, outside the bathroom. This is the top of the bookcase. Got the skull from work last year on clearance and the pumpkin from Walmart this year. The battery life on it is really crappy though, as it lasted one night and then crapped out on Halloween.

Front hall to the right. The jack-o-lantern eventually went here, too while the green candles moved over to join the skull.

Try as I might, I couldn't get the full scene. This is behind the couch in the LR.

Widget carved that funkin a few years ago.

And a little closer to the sliding door.

Going up the stairs.

Widget's pumpkin. The evil tree there is a dollar store cardboard cutout that I coated in black glitter. :D
That's not everything but it's a good chunk of it and even most of the new stuff.

Back outside.
Yeah, all of this was for us because not a single trick or treater came by the house. None. Not even the kids who live across the parking lot. :( We'd been warned by neighbors that few, if any, kids came around this way but still I had hope, especially when those kids moved in after we did.
Not. A. Single. One.
I nearly started to cry when I realized that no one was coming. I actually almost cried when not even the boys rang the bell when they came back from trick or treating.
When we were younger, my brother and I would insist on ringing our doorbell at the end of our route. We figured we might as well trick or treat at our own house and we did so every year and we passed it along to Widget.
Only... they didn't do it this year. :(
But, to not end on a downer, Mom asked Widget's friend to go ring the bell. He did. When he did, Mom grabbed the dog after I told her to get the door (since it was her idea). I didn't realize she was holding the dog and waited for her to get the door... while she waited for me to get the door. Eventually my brother got the door. :P
Silly Mums.
Alas, when I tell people about no trick or treaters, they're always saying the same thing, "More candy for you!" Yeaaaaaaaaah no. Widget got into the candy and ate almost all of the bag the neighbor gave us to give out just in case. He also demolished a big chunk of the extra stuff I'd bought and most of the stuff in the bowl even after I hid it.
He's now grounded for that, since he had to go into my room and dig around for it.
So Halloween itself was a bit of a let down but the day before was fabulously fun and the day after was dreary and cold and I loved it. It evened out in the end.

Date: 2014-11-11 10:41 pm (UTC)Ooooooh, your Spice Girls idea is brilliant! I'm sure my eyes lit up like it was Christmas (or Halloween) at the idea. :D Yay for doll plans!
Speaking of the Spices, thoughts on the Monster High Londoom gift set?

(I also totally think you need Julie for her Dawn Schafer-ness. Hell, I sort of want her for her Dawn Schafer-ness, and I have a Dawn doll! LOL.)

I wish they'd do a Josefina mold with the super pretty dark blue eyes and Julie's hair. Then I could have Dawn and not have to do any work! As it is, eventually Ivy's going to convince me I need
JulieDawn and that'll be the end of it.
