Miss Grace might have taken her sweet time shipping, but once she made it out the gate, she certainly ran to get here. She wasn't supposed to arrive until Monday, but I'm sure as hell not complaining that she decided Friday was better still. ;)

This shot, btw, makes it look like she's got the darker blue eyes. Sadly she does not which is a shame because as pretty as she is now, she'd be breathtaking in dark blue.



I'm not sure if my Grace suffers from wonky eye or just really bad photographer. :P In person they don't seem to be trying to look in two different directions at once, but I might be more distracted by other things so who knows. I think she's lovely, though.

That... also photograph Saige blue. o_O You can also see that her lips are glossier than other AG dolls and this is actually a thing I like on Grace. Other people are shrieking, "but what about the children?!" about that and her lips looking darker, to which I say, some people have naturally darker lips. Also, have you lot never used Lipsmackers? I mean really. My lipgloss love started with them.


Also, freckles that go across her nose! As someone who used to have freckles (alas) mine were about where my glasses now fall which would be in the same ballpark as Grace's. Only I had far fewer.



I'd like this shirt more if it only had the bottom two or three pink slashes. That top one does the shirt no favors. Actually, if it had to have the top one, lose the bottom one.

Grace's wig in the sunlight. Sorta. It looks pretty blonde here, or that weird shade between brown and blonde, however it's just darker brown with golden brown highlights. I promise.


This comes closer to getting it right, I think, although this seems to imply more red than I can detect in person. *shrug*

If you're picking out a Grace in person, there are a few things you should watch out for:

1) Eye wonk. Even if you're being kind and not thinking mine has her fair share, it's a decided thing, even if it's just in photos.

2) Wig issues. Mine has a million bits that I think were meant to be part of her bangs but didn't actually get cut (and you can see some of them in the picture right above) and glue bits were sprinkled throughout the bottom parts of her wig. Also, it seemed to be kind of looping back into her wig so brushing would have been a pain if I hadn't finger brushed first. All of which sounds vexing but probably took three minutes, tops?

3) Apparently Grace has her right leg shorter than her left. Not sure if mine is also afflicted but it's a thing to look out for.


Things I love about mine, an ongoing list:
The front part of her wig has two different colors on the right/left side. One starts with the darker (her right side) side going into her bangs and the lighter, golden side starts her left. It's random and weird and I love it.

Things I know about my Grace:
She likes winter/the cold, and like me does not dress appropriately for it. She's perfectly fine in her skirt and no leggings/socks in 40 degree weather.
Her drink of choice? Dr. Pepper at nearly slushie temps.
