AG update for like, half a year.
Jul. 14th, 2025 02:30 pmAll right, let's try and catch up with the various AG things I've missed or just not shared here. In no particular order because what even is time these days?
The Truly Me lineup got a new outfit and they swapped in a few new dolls. This does mean that they also axed a few, but they've been running sales on those both on site and on Amazon, so if you've missed one, you might keep an eye out.Actually, keep that in mind but they're also on sale right now and it's a pretty easy way to see which dolls got the axe and which got to make the jump. We're gonna concentrate on the newbies or else I'll get lost down a rabbit hole. Again.

TM #132 with curly dark brown hair // $135
Item#JFB45
This Truly Me doll arrives in a new outfit with a standout varsity jacket, plus a bonus tee for mix-and-match fun!
With a Truly Me™ 18-inch doll, girls are encouraged to imagine, discover, and play—learning who they are along the way. More than a doll, it’s a forever friend for styling fun, self-expression, and shared adventures.
Premium features:
The 18" Truly Me™ doll has lifelike eyes that open and close smoothly, realistic hair that can be styled, a soft cotton body, and a movable head and limbs made of smooth vinyl.
Hazel eyes, curly dark-brown hair, tan skin with neutral undertones
The AG™ Star Squad Jacket: A berry-colored knit varsity jacket with white faux-leather sleeves and striped rib trim, featuring an embroidered AG™ logo on the right chest and a large AG™ inner star patch on the back
Includes:
A white tee with a multicolored star print, a pair of pink underwear, a faux-denim skirt, a pair of white knee-high socks with multicolored stripes, and a pair of pink sneakers
A pink striped shirt with the AG™ star design for extra fashion play
For those who need the molds ID'd, this is the Sonali mold. I'm hoping this is a case of AG failtography because if the eyes weren't hazel, she'd look the most like the goddaughters. One day I'll remember to hunt down IRL pics. That being said, I do like her better in the pink. *muse*

TM #130 with straight black-brown hair // $135
Item#JFB47
Brown eyes, straight black-brown hair with bangs, light-to-medium skin with warm undertones
Decides to not copy and paste the exact same info over and over this time. This is the Jess mold and a lot of people are using her as Ivy pre-haircut. I think she's cute as fuck and I'll be searching out those Ivy pics soon.

TM#131 with straight blonde hair // $135
Item#JFB46
Brown eyes, straight blonde hair, light-to-medium skin with warm undertones
If we've got not!Ivy, we need not!Julie. Josefina mold for those that wondered, feathered brows and darker blonde than Julie, but pretty similar. Never quite understood why AG has, since the dawn of the GOT/JLY/TM dolls, duped their historical dolls pretty consistently, but I'm gonna pretend it's for those kids who are very rigid in their play. If they got Julie, she'd have to stay Julie in Julie's things, while a TM doll can be anyone. Or maybe they realize, on some level, that the little things like eyebrows can be a deal breaker for some. Or... you get the idea. She's cute.
Of the three, curly!Sonali is the most unique due to her skin/hair/eyes combo, but not!Ivy is my favorite. I do really like the new outfit overall, and I don't super mind them getting rid of the book because the TM books haven't been anything I've been interested in for awhile and I would suspect that at best they gather dust and at worst they get chucked on a regular basis. I do quibble a bit with the star shirt though. It feels a bit young for the rest of the outfit, but it might also be I simply don't love it on these dolls. Eh. I didn't really have an issue with it until I saw it 137 times while grabbing pics. The jacket is cute as fuck and I do love that AG was like, have some rainbows while I'm pretty sure an unfortunate amount of their fanbase is pretty anti rainbow at this point. Let me have my delusions, people!

Star Squad Mini Backpack and Accessories // $34
Item#JFB49
She’ll make every outfit a must-have look with these stylish 18-inch doll accessories that pair perfectly with any Truly Me™ doll (sold separately). This 5-piece set also includes matching bracelets for girls and dolls!
Includes:
A pink metallic mini backpack with embossed quilted-style details and embroidered AG™ logo patch
A berry-colored faux tumbler with straw and handle, featuring the AG™ logo on one side and a molded star detail on the other
A pink beret with a white embroidered AG™ inner star
A pair of matching multicolored beaded bracelets for girls and dolls, each featuring an AG™ star charm
Oh, to be someone who can get a doll (or even a real) beret to look good. Tis a skill I do not posess, sadly, which is a shame since AG releases so many. In fairness to me, I don't think the person styling this doll has that skill either. In some AU, some version of me just edited all the AG berets into either a post or a gif or something, but you're stuck with this version of me who did not. I like the metallic backpack because tis literally shiny and the tumbler is definitely of the moment, though I think they landed too far into the red side of berry to really go with the outfit they wanted it to go with. Considering at some point we learned AG has their own shade of berry, you'd think they'd get it right. Or maybe this is that shade and the shade on the jacket/everything else is wrong. Or maybe the photos are weird. Dunno. Not my favorite meet accessory set, as I am old and I demand the dolly have money for a proper Meet Accessory set, but it's fine and offers playability.

Star Squad Puppy And Accessories // $34
Item#JFB48
Twinning moments with a pup are now “pawsible” with this plush pet for 18-inch dolls. This 5-piece 18-inch doll accessory set includes fan-favorite Coconut Chip™ in a doggone cute jacket to match the Truly Me™ dolls (sold separately).
Includes:
A mini Coconut Chip™ plush puppy wearing a removable berry-colored varsity dog jacket with an attached multicolored striped leash that dolls can hold
A pink double bowl with removable faux dog food and water pieces
*fangirls* SO CUTE. Even with the slightly smushed face, so cute! Love the rainbow leash and even the jacket for the puppy. So cuuuuuuuuuuuuute. Sorry, I have nothing constructive to add here.
AG also decided that now was the perfect time to drop three dolls with Rapunzel length long hair for extra hair play.

A hairstyling booklet with step-by-step illustrations for five fun hairstyles
Joss mold. I really wish they'd go back to the softer, not ready to murder brows for this mold. I don't understand why they can't at least do a 50/50 split on them. Do people really like the cut a bitch brows on this mold so much that I can't get a single non-murdery one other than Joss? I guess I should be happy they didn't bless her with the softer brows considering she's 175 fucking bucks. o_O

Long Hair Looks by Truly Me #134 // $175

Josefina mold. She's cute as hell. I didn't realize until just now that the dolls come with different accessories. That's devious, AG. 134 here might be my favorite of the dolls, but it's a close race. I might just be a sucker for not!Josefina dolls. I keep seeing her hairbows and thinking she's wearing headphones.

Long Hair Looks by Truly Me Doll 135 // $175
Item#JFR76
Hairstyling creativity reaches new lengths with this all-in-one gift, featuring a Truly Me™ 18-inch doll with extra-long black-brown hair and 50+ hairstyling accessories! Long Hair Looks™ by Truly Me™ dolls encourage girls to channel their inner stylist, express their individuality, and learn five doll hairstyles with the included booklet. Pair with the Long Hair Looks™ by Truly Me™ Salon Chair and Long Hair Looks™ by Truly Me™ Salon Accessories (sold separately) for even more #HAIRGOALS.
Premium features:
The 18" Truly Me™ doll has lifelike eyes that open and close smoothly, realistic long hair that reaches her knees and is easy to style, a soft cotton body, and a movable head and limbs made of smooth vinyl.
Brown eyes, extra-long wavy black-brown hair, deep skin with neutral undertones
Includes:
A pink, purple, and green striped mock-neck tee, a pink vinyl skirt with a silvery zipper front and faux pockets, a pair of pink cotton underwear, and a pair of lavender vinyl ankle-strap platform boots
A pretend green-and-purple curling iron that opens and closes and includes a strap for dolls to hold
Accessories to style her hair: a pair of two-tone bright-pink and purple crimped hair extensions, a pair of velvety purple bow clips with long tails, a set of eight multicolored hair cuffs, a set of six colorful butterfly hair clips, a pair of beaded double hair ties, a set of eight multicolored fabric hair ties, a pink wide-tooth comb, and 25 colorful hair elastics
A lavender satin bonnet and a pretend spray bottle of coconut oil
A hairstyling booklet with step-by-step illustrations for five fun hairstyles
Sonali mold. I love her hair accessories the most and I'm dying, of happiness, at the bonnet. Honestly, all three dolls are actually cute, even if blondie bear has murder brows, though I think 135 here pulls the outfit off best. The colors pop and go really well with her extensions. The dolls are cute, but I do wonder if the price difference will hurt their sales, or if the adults will just decide the hair accessories and extra hair is worth it. *muse*

Long Hair Looks Salon Chair // $80
Item#JFR77
Doll hair gets amazing care with the help of this swiveling salon chair that can attach to a table for easy styling. Pair this 6-piece 18-inch doll playset with the Long Hair Looks™ by Truly Me™ dolls and Salon Accessories (sold separately) for more doll hair-care fun.
Premium features:
A pink- and gold-colored rotating salon chair that can be raised or lowered
A star-patterned seat cushion and backrest
A pink lap belt to hold an 18-inch doll in place
A metal base that can suction to a table for added stability
A pink footrest with an AG™ star detail
Also includes:
A pink star-print styling cape that attaches around the doll’s neck
A golden hairbrush with white bristles and an embossed AG™ star detail on the handle
A translucent pink spray bottle that really works—fill with water for use during hairstyling
A pair of pink styling clips to help hold hairstyles in place
This is so not for me, so I'll just point out that I'm not sure having slats in a chair meant for hair styling is the best idea since the hair will attempt to go and hide. If nothing else, it does make this chair stand out from their other ones. Kinda chuckling to myself because there are currently two reviews for this and one mentions they wish it could be raised/lowered like the other chairs, and yet that's the first thing mentioned under premium features. So is that a lie, is it too hard to immediately figure out, or did the reviewer just miss this feature? Who knows, not me. I will also mention that the brush looks absolutely useless, particularly if you've got one of the Long Hair Looks dolls. Seriously, what is that?

Long Hair Looks Salon Accessories // $34
Item#JFR78
Curls just want to have fun with this set that inspires hours of hairstyling play. Set the scene by pairing this 6-piece set of 18-inch doll hair accessories with the Long Hair Looks™ by Truly Me™ dolls and Salon Chair (each sold separately).
Includes:
A multicolored half apron that ties around the doll’s waist, with transparent vinyl pockets to hold hair tools
A wavy two-tone purple and blue “halo-style” hair extension
A glittery pink ombre hair pick with metal tines
A pair of faux scissors that open and close that the doll can hold
A pretend pink-and-orange curling iron that opens and closes and includes a strap for dolls to hold
A hairstyling instruction sheet that shows how to attach the hair extension
I've figured out what the color scheme they've got going on reminds me of: Innerstar U. You remember when AG TM/JLY outfits came with charms and there was that online game? These shades of purple/orange/pink/green were the colors, or at least similar enough that it's giving me flashbacks. Anyway, until I actually looked at what you get in this set, I thought it wasn't too bad. Then I realized you're spending $34 on doll hair extensions that are definitely catered to the blonde doll from the LHL line. I'm not sure I would've noticed if a) she wasn't on the pamphlet and b) I hadn't just looked at the dolls and realized they all definitely had different types of hair and accessories. It's gonna be the most noticeable on the dark skinned doll because of the hair texture, but it's also fantasy hair so...
We also got some new TM outfits and accessories.

Pink and Preppy Outfit // $50
Item#JGD79
Pink plaid pairs with crisp white for a perfectly preppy look that scores major fashion points. Pair this 5-piece 18-inch doll outfit and shoes with the Bows & Blooms Outfit and We Heart Fashion Accessories (each sold separately) for stylish mix-and-match moments.
Includes:
A pink-and-plum plaid sleeveless twill dress featuring a V neckline and four golden button details on the skirt
A white cotton button-down long-sleeved top that can be worn under the dress, featuring gathered sleeve cuffs and a large white cotton bow at the collar
A pink plaid twill-covered headband, a pair of white cotton knee socks, and a pair of pink vinyl loafers
Prior to the actual Clueless outfits being announced/revealed, people were saying this was giving serious Clueless vibes. I can see it. It's also giving serious Julie vibes as well as AG-ified catholic school vibes, which all really do roll into one, considering how 70's a lot of 90's fashion was. I'm torn on this one. The price is doing my head in, though at this point this is pretty much the price point for outfits, but I also loathe elastic wrists on my own clothing so I'm not a huge fan on dolls, but I also hate trying to do fiddly buttons on AG cuffs and if they'd done velcro it would just wear out at some point. This mostly falls in the yay category and definitely lives up to the name.

We Heart Fashion Accessories // $22
Item#JGD80Showcase a love of fashion with pops of pink, plum, and plaid to complement any outfit. This 4-piece set of 18-inch doll accessories pairs perfectly with the Bows & Blooms Outfit and Pink & Preppy Outfit (each sold separately).
Includes:
A plum vinyl heart-shaped purse with a transparent window at the front and a strap that dolls can hold
A pink tweed captain's-style hat
A faux pink lip gloss
A pink heart-shaped brush compact
I will award points for this trying to go with two different outfits instead of AG making sets to go with each and thus charging more. I will dock points because that is not a purse, that is a wristlet and I will not be entertaining differing opinions on the matter. Well, not if they're arguing it's a purse, that is. I also wonder how many kids are gonna try that 'brush' on the wrong doll's hair and get it tangled. I mean, it's fine but not really a set I'm making grabby hands at. I'd actually probably like it more if the purse was bigger, but if this is your thing, more power to you.

Bows and Blooms Outfit // $50
Item#JGD78
Florals look extra fa-bow-lous with this 5-piece 18-inch doll outfit and shoes. Pair with the Pink & Preppy Outfit and We Heart Fashion Accessories (each sold separately) for chic styling possibilities.
Includes:
A plum knit top featuring mesh puff sleeves and neckline, black satin-ribbon details on the bodice, and three black satin-ribbon bows down the front
A pleated floral-print twill skirt with black satin ribbon and bow details
A hair tie with a pink satin-ribbon bow, a pair of plum mesh ankle socks, and a pair of pink vinyl platform boots with black accents on the sides
I love the silhoutte of this outfit so, so much, but the actuality of it falls flat for me. I don't love the skirt print and I would do terrible things for this to be a black instead of the way the back of your eyelids look after you spend too long looking at the sun or a particularly bright light. Ditto for the boots to be that plum color instead of the light pink. I love the top though, and the pink pony-o works as a way to pick up the light pink from the skirt in a way the boots don't. Now, had the socks been the light pink, that would've worked. But it also probably would've shown off how sheer they really are. *muse*
AG also collabed with Crocs.

AGxCrocs Classic Clog // $24
Item#JFV28
Step out in style with the first-ever doll-sized Crocs™, officially licensed and designed in partnership with Crocs. Tap into twinning moments by pairing these 18-inch American Girl® x Crocs™ Doll Shoes with a matching set for girls (sold separately)—perfect for showcasing her AG™ adoration.
Includes:
A pair of pearlized white Crocs Classic Clog shoes featuring a sprinkle of berry-colored stars, a berry-colored heel strap with a white American Girl® logo, rivets with the AG star and Crocs logos, and a set of permanently attached Jibbitz™: the AG star and monogram, an AG café teacup, a berry-colored shopping bag, a hairbow, and a silhouette of a girl reading from the original Pleasant Company logo.
It's killing me that the doll shoes are about half the price of the kid's shoes. You'd think this would appeal to my AG WTF side, but it's just solidly there. I cannot imagine who this is for, in that I can't imagine someone foaming at the mouth for this collab but if it makes people happy, cool. I would like to say I still think Jibbitz is a stupid name, but I also thought half the point of them was being able to express your creativity and placing them where you wanted to make your shoes OOAK? I guess it's to keep costs down, somehow, and probably to keep from having to worry about kids choking on them, but the girl's shoes also have them permanently attached so who knows? I keep thinking the shopping bag is a McDonald's smile and the teacup is a weird flower. On sale, I'd probably grab these as a mild "wtflip?" as I do dig the pearlized color.

Sweet Dreams PJs // $28
Item#JDC75
She’ll go to sleep dreaming of ice cream in these 18-inch doll pajamas with sweet accessories. This 4-piece set is made to match the Sweet Dreams PJs for Girls (sold separately).
Includes:
A lavender satin short-sleeved PJ top featuring pink piping on the collar, a button-front closure, and an allover smiley-face ice cream print
A pair of matching satin PJ shorts with contrast pink piping and a ruffle hem
A pair of lavender faux-fur slippers with embroidered sprinkles and pompom cherries
A pink terry hair tie
Did we already discuss this one? I don't remember. These are cute and I dig the print. It's not one I'm fabulously excited for (obviously, since I can't remember if I even showed them before) but I think it's also a case where in person they're probably even better and the type you appreciate more in person. Assuming, of course, that the satin doesn't get snagged on anything, but it looks like the buttons are functional which should lessen that risk.
Seriously, really cute. Also, please stop making me want this doll, AG. I'm pretty much tapped out on space for dolls.

Glam Sparkly Concert Outfit // $40
Item#JDC78
She’ll flip for this showstopping, transforming outfit that’s perfect for concerts and celebrations. This 18-inch doll outfit and accessories set is part of our Style Flips™ line with reversible features that create distinct looks. Pair this outfit with the Colorful Teddy Bear Backpack & Accessory Set (sold separately).
Premium features:
A reversible romper with lavender ribbon straps—one side features allover fuchsia sequins and the other side is lavender with a faux-snakeskin bodice and ribbon detail
Also includes:
An ombre open-front skirt with gold stitching at hem that can be layered over either side of the romper to create different looks
A golden metallic statement belt, a pair of fuchsia platform sandals with golden straps, and a fuchsia butterfly hair clip
Now I know I didn't talk about these outfits because I wasn't feeling great when they debuted and I kept waiting to want to do so and the stars did not align. Here we are instead. I'm guessing AG took one look at all the people making Taylor Swift AGs and said hey, we went and made a few dolls that are most definitely not Taylor *winkwinknudgenudge* so we might as well go all in and make some TS inspired outfits too. Because seriously, that's what this and the next outfit are giving me. The fact that this one is even modeled by one of the not!Taylor dolls is no coincidence. It's fine. Hot pink sequins? Why not? They do make my skin itch when I think about wearing that turned inside out, but I'm not a doll (that I'm aware of). The purple feels a little washed out here against the bright pink but it's not terrible.
holy shit, these were released in January? The year, she moves at paces both glacial and supersonic.

Glam Shimmering Ocean Outfit // $40
Item#JDC82
Mermaid vibes meet un-sea-lievable style in this transforming outfit. Part of the Style Flips™ line, this 18-inch doll outfit and accessories set has reversible features that create distinct looks. Pair this fashionable aquatic-inspired outfit with the Shimmering Sea Turtle Backpack & Accessory Set (sold separately).
Includes:
A reversible halter dress with a high-low hem—one side features allover iridescent aqua-colored sequins with multicolored mesh underskirts and the other side is an aqua glitter knit with a multicolored mesh skirt
A pair of aqua-colored strappy espadrille sandals
A glossy faux-pearl barrette
This one also gives TS vibes by way of mermaids and it's my favorite of the three because I am a sucker for aqua. I'm not sure I'd ever use it with the sequins not on display because they're just so friggin' pretty and speak to my magpie brain. Also, the second option really does just give "I turned this outfit inside out" vibes.

Glam Pink Cowgirl Outfit // $40
Item#JDC80
Two-step and twirl in this country-chic transforming outfit. This 18-inch doll outfit and accessories set is part of our Style Flips™ line with reversible features that create distinct looks. Pair this fashionable cowgirl outfit with the Pink Spotted Cow Backpack & Accessory Set (sold separately).
Includes:
A reversible sleeveless dress with a silvery ribbon and pink fringe hem—one side features allover iridescent silver sequins and the other side is a light-pink knit with a pink star foil print
A pair of pink cow-print boots with silvery embroidered details and heeled soles
A pink cowgirl hat with white trim
A pink belt with a silver buckle
This might've been the quickest I've ever seen AG manage to hop on a trend since this is pretty clearly their Chappell Roan outfit. Honestly, that alone puts this on my maybe one day pile because I think we've pretty extensively covered that I do love it when AG goes a little off the expected path. Is the outfit something I'd normally be all over? Nah. But I do like oddities and this falls under that. Also, it does kind of loop in Maryellen and Molly, who both had cowgirl outfits, and I also love when AG outfits lineup. That said, this is a lot. Also, AG, love, I'm gonna need you to learn the difference between holographic and iridescent. It's not that difficult.

Colorful Teddy Bear Backpack Accessory Set // $34
Item#JDC79
So stylish, we can hardly bear it! Part of the Style Flips™ line, this 5-piece set features a reversible plush teddy bear backpack. This sweet 18-inch doll outfit accessory pairs perfectly with the Glam Sparkly Concert Outfit (sold separately).
Premium features:
A reversible backpack with lavender ribbon straps and a silver zipper—one side is a multicolored faux-fur teddy bear, and the other side is glittery purple vinyl with an AG™ star
Also includes:
A pair of lavender sunglasses with translucent lavender lenses
A golden bracelet with a fuchsia butterfly at center, a set of fuchsia rhinestone hair gems, and a set of two faux concert tickets
Love that they have to clarify these are faux concert tickets. Ahhhhh, glorious. Anyway, just gonna mention this the once, but the idea that these are reversible is insane because they'd be absolutely useless with the critter on the inside. That being said, I have been tempted more than a few times by these, but haven't caved because by the time I hit checkout the price makes me wince and so I jettison either the whole cart or whatever backpack caught my eye at the time.

Shimmering Sea Turtle Backpack Accessory Set // $34
Item#JDC83
This two-in-one look is something to shell-abrate! Part of the Style Flips™ line, this 5-piece set features a reversible plush sea turtle backpack. This aqua-inspired 18-inch doll outfit accessory pairs perfectly with the Glam Shimmering Ocean Outfit (sold separately).
Premium features:
A reversible backpack with aqua ribbon straps and a silver zipper—one side is a plush aqua-colored sea turtle with a vibrant multicolored shell, and the other side is glittery aqua vinyl with an AG™ star
Also includes:
A pair of cat-eye sunglasses with translucent aqua lenses and faux-pearl accents
A wavy multicolored clip-in hair extension, a golden ring with an aqua gemstone center, and a glittery aqua beaded bracelet
This is the one that's nearly caught me the most. Lookit, a pretty turtle! Love. It's absurd to pay more for a doll purse than I did for my own. And yet...

Pink Spotted Cow Backpack Accessory Set // $34
Item#JDC81
Two stylish looks to suit her moo-d! Part of the Style Flips™ line, this 4-piece set features a reversible plush cow backpack. This udderly-cute 18-inch doll outfit accessory pairs perfectly with the Glam Pink Cowgirl Outfit (sold separately).
Premium features:
A reversible backpack with pink ribbon straps and a silver zipper—one side is a white faux-fur cow with pink spots, and the other side is glittery pink vinyl with an AG™ star
Also includes:
A pair of star-shaped sunglasses with translucent pink lenses
A pair of metallic bracelets with disco-ball-inspired beads (one pink, one silver-toned)
A pink paisley kerchief that ties around a doll’s neck
...yes, I want a pink and white cow backpack for dolls. What of it? Absolutely insane.

My First Ballet Recital Costume // $60
Item#JDL86
Delight in dance recitals, ballet classes, and other unforgettable moments with this beautiful ballet costume. This 18-inch doll outfit and accessories are perfect for celebrating special recitals and more.
Includes:
A white leotard with princess seams, silver braided trim, and a metallic silver foil-print detail on the front
A layered pink tutu
A silvery metal tiara with rhinestone accents
A pair of pink faux pointe shoes with ribbons that tie around the calves
A pair of white tights with a silvery sparkle
I don't think we talked about this one, did we? And nothing of value was lost by not discussing it. It's fine, it's there, it's sure as fuck not worth sixty goddamn dollars, what the actual fuck, AG. It was originally $55 and even that was too high. That silver foil print is gonna peel off the first time a kid needs this washed, or after it gets played with too many times (and that number could be as low as like, three times, depending on the screening), and it wasn't until I re-read the info that I realized this wasn't meant to be the lightest of purples. Was their white balance off? Is my monitor's? Insert 'can you be whelmed/I think you can in Europe' .gif here. It's there, it's overpriced. Behold.
I don't remember if we discussed playline Belle, but I don't think we did, so let's do so now.

AG Disney Princess Belle // $145
Item#JDD99
Intelligent and adventurous, Belle writes the ending to her own story. Celebrate this beloved Disney Princess with this beautiful American Girl® 18-inch doll with brown hair and hazel eyes, designed in collaboration with Disney.
Premium features:
An 18” Belle doll with hazel eyes that open and close, long wavy brown hair styled in a twisted half bun wrapped in a golden bun crown, and yellow-and-gold metal stud earrings in her pierced ears. She has a soft cotton body, and her movable head and limbs are made of smooth vinyl.
A yellow satin gown featuring an organza off-the-shoulder drape neckline, scarlet rosette accents on the bodice and organza overskirt, and golden foil detailing on the bodice and underskirt
A pair of yellow kitten-heel shoes with rosette toe detail
Also includes:
A pair of yellow elbow-length gloves
A pair of yellow cotton underwear
Belle was released on Feb 3, and was originally $135, but tarrif fuckery and all that. Anyway, doll wise. She's fine. *shrug* She's pretty but her hairstyle is the kind that makes my brain just immediately gloss over a doll because I don't really see the doll so much as I see her as a collector's piece to not be played with. Which is nutso since she's the playline version. Look, there's a reason I didn't get around to posting about her before now. I scrolled through IG and realized that a big part of my problem is that she looks very similar to her Collector self and if they're redressed, I can't really tell the difference. Also, that hairstyle doesn't tend to get taken out and I can't blame anyone for that. She's cute. She's fine. She's not for me, but I do appreciate her not being the classic mold.

AG Disney Princess Bell Blue Dress, Mrs. Potts, Chip, and Accessories // $60
Item#JDF00
Belle adores her friendship with Mrs. Potts and Chip, who help welcome her to the Beast’s castle. Play out her castle adventures with this Disney Princess 18-inch doll clothing and accessory set by American Girl®.
Includes:
Belle’s village dress, featuring a velvety blue bodice with light-blue swirl embroidery and textured ribbon, a blue satin skirt with lace trim, and a white satin collar, yoke, and sleeves
A Mrs. Potts figurine that dolls can hold
A Chip figurine
A white satin apron, a blue satin hair ribbon, and a pair of black shoes with elastic straps
This is another case of I don't own it now simply because the sticker shock at checkout usually got it booted in favor of something that had a better chance of being truly sold out before my next AG purchase, or just not buying anything else at all. Now it's $5 more and I'm kinda wishing I'd remembered it when I did my Clueless order. Ah well. Uh, onto the actual outfit. Disney secondary outfits being 1000% better than their princess dresses continues! I do kind of wonder why AG stopped giving the Disney dolls two additional outfits, but really, this one is pretty close to perfect. As someone who doesn't tend to delve too deep into Disney, I dunno if her village dress is meant to be satiny and I get why AG made it so (gotta be a little fancy if you're gonna charge that much!), but I think I'd prefer the dress in not satin. But "why is the company not catering to ME" aside, blue dress makes my brain happy almost every time, especially that shade of blue so... wants. *grabby hands* But, AG? Belle needs some fucking books, JFC. It's her THING.

I'm not normally one to comment on the Little Bitty Baby stuff, but yeah, at some point AG decided to lean into how much people loved the Little Bitty Baby dolls they did (like Felicity's sister Polly back in the day and the GOT/JLY/TM counterpart, only now popular) so now we've got things like Little Bitty Baby Cozy Bunny Sleep Set ,LBB Flower Romper Play Set , and LBB First Birthday Celebration Set, all of which are $20. Honestly, I like the bunny for the absurdity and the birthday outfit is sparkly. I will say the blonde LBB is definitely giving Children of the Corn vibes, which would normally align with my love of weird, but after living with Bitty of the Damned, Blonde LBB is gonna need to up her game.
(side note/fandom history: people lost their minds when Corinne's little brother and then the Caring for Baby sets were released and bought a ton to modify since, at the time, you had tiny Asian baby and tiny brunette of could be anything ethnicity choices and that was it. Like they flocked to the grey market and even just flat out paid the set prices from AG for just the doll, really. I remember the medium skin/brunette baby set was on backorder for eons. It's weird it's taken this long to get actual outfits but at least they're trying.)
I think that mostly catches up. I'm considering it done, though I know I missed a few of the CA was on fire/AG does collabs outside the company things. Gotta draw the line somewhere.
The Truly Me lineup got a new outfit and they swapped in a few new dolls. This does mean that they also axed a few, but they've been running sales on those both on site and on Amazon, so if you've missed one, you might keep an eye out.

I guess I should be happy they didn't bless her with the softer brows considering she's 175 fucking bucks. o_O

A pair of yellow kitten-heel shoes with rosette toe detail

A Chip figurine
