Oh, look, AG has a sneak peek of their new BeForever stuff that's coming out Thursday. And, because they're AG, they screwed up just a smidge.

Or a lot if you don't like the stuff. :P

Kaya's Modern Fancy Shawl Outfit.
  I... dunno. It's a dress and I'm glad Kaya got something new. I'm curious as to the price because it doesn't say anything about this being a set unlike the others.

Sooooooo... AG? Hot pink and purple is really the hill you want to die on for Rebecca? 1914's Jewish Rebecca?

As a historical outfit, my brain just kind of exploded because I'm fairly certain that colors aside, this is for a later time period. But in general, I kind of love this outfit as a more modern outting. It's insane and it's pretty much screaming that it's going to be a very divisive outfit and that alone makes me love it. So torn.




Kit's Chicken Keeping Set and Cheery Blossoms Top and Checks Jumper for Girls

That's a mouthful. This is my second favorite outfit so far. I was all set to not like it when the coveralls were spotted on ebay a couple of days ago, but something about this actually works for me. Z may be right and it could be the bandana that actually looks cute as hell, or maybe it's the rabid hope I have for a horribly off scale chicken so it can terrorize the AG pets. I just don't know, but I'm hoping that these sets are cheaper than last year's.



Addy's Dress and Sewing Set and Periwinkle Plaid Top and Classic Crops for Girls


This picture? Isn't even on that board. AG screwed up and pinned it to their BeForever board. Does no one at this company check after their web minions?

Anyway, this is my favorite. I think I preferred the digital version (it's on her Mancala game) a bit better, but really, it's pretty and bright and lovely. The little girl also got the best dress like your doll but not really outfit in that it doesn't even look AG. Which is probably not a good thing for the company... :P


And finally...


Samantha's Flower Picking Set and Lacy Tee and Tiered Skirt for Girls

Take a moment to appreciate how the pinks on the girl's outfit do not match. They don't even compliment one another. It's killing me. It's offending my delicate sensibilities! For crying out loud here, AG, it should be this hard to match your pinks.

But notice how Samantha's looking down like she wants to escape...


I thought I'd saved this one's prototype picture of fug but apparently not. Anyway, this? This kills me. I don't mind Sam in pink. BF Sam looks very pretty in pink, actually. But this? This is a lot going on and even though it feels very 1900's, it's not a pretty thing. I think I'd have been okay if there wasn't a print on the dress or it was just striped but no. We had to busy it up.

And by okay I don't mean buy it. Also, putting black tights with this dress is doing my head in.

Overall, I suspect this release is going to provoke a lot of WTF and I love that. But I don't love Samantha's pink vomit, I don't love Julie's outfit hiding, and I really don't like Josefina getting nothing. Again. WTF, AG. Either give her some good stuff or get the wrath of the dolly gods brought down upon you and most deservedly so.

Annnnnd it figures that as soon as I update, they also update. Oi. An Impy's work is never done.


I like the way the shawl is hooked on her thumbs so it'll stay on. And I care not what people say, I think BF Kaya's promo pictures look pretty cute in general.


I hate this shot a little less. I still don't really enjoy the style though, at least not as presented this way.


Dammit. I love those boots just as much as I thought I would and also... this will be coming home with me assuming it's not insanely overpriced.

In case you wondered, Kid!me totally wore the 80's version of this back in the day. This is actually my second favorite outfit of the bunch, but Kit's chicken means as an overall set, it's my third favorite.

Depending on prices, I'll be snagging Addy's, Kit's, Julie's, and Rebecca's. Not necessarily in that order because... chicken!

I need that AG chicken something fierce. Ruthie could raise chickens. I hope it's sold separately and not part of the outfit because I don't really care for the rest of the outfit. :(

I do really like Addy's dress and Kaya's. Pass on Sam's pink mess and Rebecca's purple swimsuit of weirdness though. And Julie's is cute, but I like her roller skates better (plus I already have the 80s-tastic skateboarding set so I don't need a second skateboard.)

Pretty sure, sadly enough, that Kit's chicken will be bundled with the outfit since these are being called sets, aside from Kaya's. Which is sad because I would love an army of chickens for Ruthie.

Well, if that's the case then I'll have to buy the set. The outfit isn't hideous (and maybe it's better in person) and the chicken is worth the price of admission. :D

I'm giving some major side-eye to Sam and Rebecca's kits because they are hideous and not really appropriate for their time periods. I mean, I just can't with those black tights on Sam.

Dawn has figured out that fandom dislikes her but loooooooooves Julie over in the AG land, so she started her takeover. The only people still dragging their feet don't want to feel old and have the 70's be "history" yet. Resistance to Julie is futile.

And in the end, Dawn Schafer will announce that she is totally Julie and thus you all love her, the end.

It will be glorious. ;)
