Not entirely sure on the netiquete for such things, so I'm going to be using links primarily for this Toyfair round up. I'm dreadfully sorry to make you click here, there, and everywhere, but credit where credit is due.

In general, the pictures that have managed to ditch the headache inducing lighting (no, it really did provoke headaches on two different days and both sparked when looking at the pictures) have made me rethink a few things.
In general, the new ghouls for this line look very... odd together. It's weird because most other MH lines have a cohesiveness about the line that might not be as glaringly obvious on single dolls, but when you put everyone together (or even just a few someones) you like the look, providing you liked the line. Hauntlywood? They look like they go together. 13 Wishes? Definitely. Haunted? Um, duh.
But this? Not so much. I'm sure that when you throw in the regular characters it'll seem a little less "wtf?" but the other lines I mentioned were all thrown out as examples BECAUSE of the new characters they introduced and their look within the line and together.
It's a nitpick and I may further revise this opinion when the line is available.
Luna:
I still covet those shoes something fierce. They are probably the biggest reason I will buy her ASAP for fear that they'll do something dumb in the production run. I'm still getting She-ra vibes from her and something still seems off facially, but she's cute and parts of that outfit will be divied up pretty quick.
Mousecedes:
This is going to be difficult. Very difficult. She is coated in clumpy plastic and it offends my delicate sensibilities, truthfully. If I manage to separate her from that outfit (sweet baby boy who lived, whyyyyyyyyyy) I think she's very cute and her teeth alone are probably worth the price of admission, much like Venus when she first appeared. I think she's the doll I most look forward to seeing how people choose to redress her. She's cute, her outfit and presentation are not.
Elle EeDee:
To the Elle fans who think no one would cough "Spectra" into their fist each time they saw Elle if she were a different color scheme, I'm thinking you might be wrong on that. MH's line has always encouraged people to expect new and diverse face sculpts and whenever we get too similar, people get a little more observant. But yes, Elle still looks very much like Spectra and Robecca had a baby. She really looks like Spectra's mold was given some robotoic upgrade and called a new face.
Thing is, she looks an awful lot like the Spectras I do like, the ones who don't look like they want my soul. She is also the only newbie dripping in plastic that I love for it. The silver plastic that's usually reserved for Catty makes Elle's look work for me. I dig the dress underneath, too.
Dammit, Elle...
Astra:
That pink plastic... thing. I need it gone. I think she's cuter than I expected her to be but I'm not looking forward to having to drag a playset home and then off to like, goodwill or something so we'll see how she goes.
The slimline ghouls (see the SunnyB link) kind of confuse me because the packaging looks like it's the 'spine' of the box showing and not the front of the box. It's very weird in pictures but I do wonder how it'll look on shelves.
Cleo and Deuce remain duh, needs. Nefera looks better in her box and not with the crazy hair. Catty is pretty much MIA from these things and that's because her plastic thing is hideous enough to render one blind.
Gooliope
Packaging.
Size comparison.
Holy. Shi-.
She's huge! I mean, I knew that on some level since the AG army is 18 inches but still. There's knowing and then there's knowing. Also, her shoes are awesome. I still think pink and yellow is a bad combo, but she's growing on me.
Everything!
Still want everything Freak du Chic chooses to be. The centaur minis look kind of like their heads are squashed on but that might just be the angle. I get the feeling these aren't that popular annnnnnnd I'm going to have a mini herd. :D
In case you missed it, Frankie, Clawdeen, and Draculaura are joining Gooliope in her giantess height. I'm unsure as to which of these three I will possibly consider shelling $29.99 for. Dammit, Mattel, if you'd made one if these Lagoona, Cleo, or Ghoulia we would be having a VERY different conversation. ("Which one do I leave behind initially?" *cries* That kind of different.)
Still wanting Gil/Lagoona's Wheel Love set and Ghoul Fair Elissabat still confuses me (Is she selling bat pops?) but I want Londoom so meh to her cute accessory. Meh, I say!
Those Mega Blocks sets: Need them all. Not sure how to go about this. *muse*
