Good news/bad news/great news
Feb. 19th, 2015 03:58 pmIt's time for good news, bad news!
Bad news first:
1) Around 4am, Mother Nature decided to trumpet, "STILL NOT PREGNANT!" Which means I had to run to the bathroom every twenty minutes.
On the plus side, I'd finished my projects before then, but I still had facing to do, which involved leaning over which is always a bad idea. We'll revisit this in the good news column though!
2) Passed out this morning because I didn't sleep much yesterday and each time I woke up, my head was POUNDING. I thought I was going to throw up, actually. Luckily, the right cocktail of meds, food, and caffeine seem to have taken me down to a dull roar. I think the shower also helped.
3) I missed the Jill's Steals and Deals yesterday. No super cheap Rebecca or Kaya 2 for me. :( On the plus side,
zallia snagged a couple of Julies!
Good News:
1) I got to open the Cos displays and put most of them out. :D Alas, the most interesting things were the Elsa/Frozen Orly nail polishes and the L'Oreal Haute Floral thing, but it was still fun getting to look at new stuff.
2) When I went to do my facing, I started on the cold/food aisle and it was a bit of a pain, but when I circled back to the other two aisles I had to do, I found that D had already faced them and she'd done a REALLY good job! So it didn't matter that I had to run every 20 minutes, the work was already done. I was so happy, you don't even know.
3) D also bought me a bottle of Pepsi to make up for the one she shook up Sunday morning. I was pissed Sunday and I think she realized that (seriously, who shakes up someone else's soda?) and so she bought me a new one this morning. And C bought me a Russell Stover Easter Egg of yumminess. :)
4) The landlords came by yesterday when they were in town and fixed things. I now have light above Bob here, my toilet flushes without me having to take the lid off the back, Mom's sink doesn't run all the time, and we have a new back door on the porch. :D
5) MOST IMPORTANT: They asked if we were thinking about renewing our lease or if it was too early to think about that and I might've jumped all over myself to say, "YES. YES PLEASE. Don't make me move again!" and she was ever so happy to continue taking our rent money. :D We won't have to move this year!!!!! (Knock on wood.)
6) z alerted me to the fact that AG has free shipping. I might be planning and plotting now that my brain is no longer scrambled. She also pointed out there are some sales on EAH dolls on Amazon, so I snagged Thronecoming Blondie and MH Invisibilly. I'll be keeping an eye out though on others.

Date: 2015-02-19 10:09 pm (UTC)Are you going to do the swapping yourself, or are you going to get one of the swappers to do the procedure for you?
eta: Yay tracking info! I hope they get to you quickly!

Date: 2015-02-19 10:13 pm (UTC)Right?? Spread the love on the redheads, green and aquamarine eyes. Why so stingy when we have ten million hazels and blue/brown combos?
Definitely myself. Talking to people...eeeh. And adding on all the shipping to and from and receiving back...or is eye surgery so difficult that you do think I should leave it to the professionals? Admittedly, I haven't even bothered to look up how to do it yet.

Date: 2015-02-19 10:22 pm (UTC)AG is weird, weird, weird. Use the pretty dark blues more, give us more green, and for the love of all that is holy and unholy, re-use that actual red! Soon!
*grins* I'm not sure on the eyeswaps. Since you're not using Jess molds (I think I heard that her mold is a pain in the duff, comparatively speaking), I'd imagine that if you found a tutorial you felt comfortable with, you could pull it off. I'm not sure I could, but I also haven't gone looking for one lately. I was just eyeballing Jodybo's Eyeswap Emporium on PT to see what she had to say about eyes. Alas, she doesn't really say whether she's got a particular eye color in "stock" and I don't have any diabolical plans in the works enough to go trolling ebay for donors.

Date: 2015-02-20 02:21 am (UTC)How long is free shipping? I want three of Kit's outfits for Ruthie - goddamn she has cute stuff (new meet, chicken keeping, and pink dress from the candy set) plus the peach Easter dress for Josefina. Cecile wants something too, and I'm thinking Samantha's mint green dress would probably look quite nice on her...thoughts?

Date: 2015-02-20 12:43 pm (UTC)I'd keep an eye on Lissie & Lily as she's usually got the scoop and she shares it pretty quickly whenever she's granted permission if the scoop came via someone else. (She's also incredibly nice and funny so that helps, too.) Apparently there's supposed to be another sale "soon" (see the link) but no one knows when. They're never weekends and are usually Tuesday-Thursday, if memory serves. They're also, unfortunately, usually stacked against those on the West Coast, but if Ian wakes you up early, that might work out for you.
Free shipping is good through March 24th (just double checked), and the code is SPRINGFUN. Someone else had the same idea with Cecile and I think she looks cute. :) Oooh, that Easter dress on Josefina will look gorgeous! And huzzah for Ruthie!
