Once more into the AG land we go.
Mar. 30th, 2015 09:41 pmI believe I promised this awhile ago. Tadaaaaaaaaa. Better late than pregnant never, right?
A little while ago, the lovely lady behind Lissie and Lilly picked up this outfit for me from the store sale. I'd had my eye on it because it's just so, so over the top.

Take a moment to fully bask in the winter white glory of knit shorts over white leggings. I mean really, take a moment.
Oh yeah, never would I pay full price but on sale? Heck yeah. So I thank Lillymaiden a thousand times for picking this up for me because she is awesome.
With this set, you get:
A long-sleeved jersey tee with faux-fur cuffs at the wrists
A thick faux-fur vest with two satin ribbon ties at the side and a flower corsage
Comfy jersey leggings with an elastic waistband
Cable-knit shorts with a knit-rib waistband and sequins on the lower left hem
White boots with faux-fur cuffs
And the ability to turn your doll into a Disney channel villainess instantly!

If you squint, you can make out the sequins on the shorts.

Vest tied.

Boots.

The only thing I don't like about this outfit are the furry sleeves. Without them the outfit would be pretty damn amazing. With them? Stunted. That's right, the outfit with knit shorts is being held back by the shirt.

Here you can see the silvery grey lining on the vest.

Back of the outfit isn't as pretty due to those boots velcroing up the back.

Sonali looks pretty amazing in this, actually. It's why she didn't try out Addy's sewing dress.

One more!
And now for Hannah!

Hannah's wearing the Wintry Fair Isle Outfit, but by this point my camera was giving up the battery ghost so there's no full length outfit shot. Sorry.

I waffled on this outfit. A lot. This shot kind of illustrates why. The sleeves aren't what you expect from a sweater, really. Also, I'm not big on the whole leggings as pants trend that will not die and I don't have any real love for the shoes.

Sooooooo... spending whatever the original price was on basically a sweater I kinda liked seemed stupid. But I'd remember
irishgypsie 's review and how much she liked it and how much I liked it on her Josefina and again I would waffle.

This shade of blue (hell, all of the blues used on this) is gorgeous. I wish they'd do more blue stuff without throwing pink in the way, or even purple. It's pretty flattering on a lot of dolls and it helps balance out all pinks/purples in the rest of the line.

Boots that look stupid head on but aren't bad in person.

Also? The sweater is super soft. If Izzy's sweater had been this soft, they would have sold a billion more.

Hannah and Grace show off the differences between two dolls with the same face mold. Here you can see that Grace's lips are glossy and they do seem a bit darker than Hannah's. Her eyebrows are also thicker and of course she has freckles.
And the last picture here isn't mine, but it's what I'm considering (sorta) for my custom this year:

zallia's seen this because we discussed the insanity of how high this doll went for when she is a Grace doll with Isabelle's wig in a non-AG outfit. However, I'm thinking this is pretty perfect for Dawn Schafer. I don't have an Izzy wig, so I'll be using 27's, but maybe I'll give Grace the dark blue eyes and keep the light blue for Dawn? But then she won't be all that different from McKenna and Elizabeth (blonde with light blue eyes, Josefina mold). I've got time, though.
