This one seems easy enough to knock out, so we're going to go with the overinflated sense of self worth that is Scentsy's holiday celebration. Normally I would wait until after October for this kind of thing, but given how fast Lumina went last month, I'm not really sure what they're doing in terms of backorders and sell outs and I know some people do like to shop a smidge earlier than others.

I was looking forward to a couple of these and then I saw the price and reacted much the same way a cat does when you go to pick it up and it wants none of that. :P

Anyway, they've got some interesting ideas but they really fumbled the price tags for those of us not swimming in Scrooge McDuck's Vault.

There are the Fragrant Fables, which is basically a box of 1oz samplers of fragrances in a certain theme. They're $35 and I feel compelled to point out that for $25, you could get a six pack of the full size bars and just call it a day.

A Holiday Tale, which includes all the Holiday Fragrances:
Clove & Cinnamon
Cozy Fireside
Winter Pine
Iced Pine
Peppermint Dreams
Silver Bells
Christmas Cottage
Eskimo Kiss
Snowberry
Very Merry Cranberry
This is probably the one that makes most sense to give as a gift like this. You get your seasonal scents in an easy to handle bite sized portion and you get a variety without the commitment. It's still flippin' expensive, but enh. I don't really remember my thoughts on most of these aside from Christmas Cottage (eh on cold, haven't melted one yet) and Silver Bells which smells god-freakin'-awful to me.

 photo Classic Tale-FPO_zpsdcvnuuit.jpg
A Classic Tale, which includes 10 Classics fragrances:
Black Raspberry Vanilla
Camu Camu
Clean Breeze
Coconut Lemongrass
French Lavender
Perfectly Pomegranate
Sunkissed Citrus
Sweet Pea & Vanilla
Welcome Home
By the Sea
Of these, I like Clean Breeze and Welcome Home. Black Raspberry Vanilla isn't bad but it's incredibly strong. Coconut Lemongrass is always brought up by people who have migraines as a serious trigger, so there's a warning for you. It is, apparently, also great for repelling insects but that's not necessarily a thing I'd want to smell tucked in with food scents. Clean Breeze, btw, is not a food scent, which should be obvious by the name.

 photo Delectable Tale-FPO_zpswwikf7ka.jpg
A Delectable Tale, which includes all Corner Cafe fragrances:
Baked Apple Pie
Berries Jubilee
Central Park Pralines
Crumb Top
Dulce de Leche
Mochadoodle
Salted Caramel Cupcake
Sticky Cinnamon Bun
Sugar Cookie
Vanilla Bean Buttercream
Vanilla Bean Buttercream is my baby and Baked Apple Pie is so good. I don't have any memories of Berries Jubilee or Central Park Pralines. Honestly, if you were dead set on getting one of these as a cute gift, or they go on sale later, I'd say this is the safest of the bunch if you like food scents.

Porcelain Ornaments in Very Snowy Spruce or Christmas Cranberry. They're $6 each and are very obviously scented ornaments. I think they're pretty and if Christmas Cranberry didn't say it included cedarwood in the scent, I might be tempted. I might check with Cass to see if she's got a tester of the Spruce one as I remember liking one of their tree scents but not liking the others. These aren't bad ideas and they're not even scary, price wise, if you ignore the insane shipping costs.

 photo PenguineBuddy-FW2015_zpsnfmtmfjh.jpg
Percy the Penguin that I want for Mums. I think I'm going to have to order him soon, though, just in case. She initially scoffed at the idea (you put a scent pak in him and he'll smell nice) but then she came to me and said she'd kind of like a stuffed animal that smelled good. So now I just need to trick her into telling me which scent she'd want. Sadly, they've upped the price to $30.

They also have a couple of their oils as a set and roller scents but I refuse to dignify their existence with more than a mention.

Wraps:

Snowman Scentsy Warmer Wrap, $12

 photo R1-AwayInAManger-IS0-Wrap-Core-FW2015_zpslait1yql.jpg
Away in a Manger, $15

Both are shown over one of the core warmers, and if you go that way, the Manger/Core set is $43.

 photo R1-Noel-ISO-GLOW-FW15_zpswilos8r7.jpg
Noel Warmer, $35
I originally wanted to buy my brother a holiday warmer since he's more Christmasy than I am, and this isn't my first choice, but if I do go that route, it's likely to be the one I do buy because while I think $35 is a bit much, it's do-able. It's also a pretty enough warmer without it being too much in any way. Plus maybe it glows.

 photo R1-Bethlehem-ISO-FW2015_zps6j1qyct5.jpg
Bethlehem Warmer, $30

 photo R1-BabyTux-ISO-FW2015_zpsviakljnp.jpg
Baby Tux Nightlight, $20
Thought I'd get this for Mums, but she didn't seem too thrilled. Will check back, just in case. She has Full Size Tux and loves him. I do caution you, if you get Big Tux, his warming dish gets very hot, so when you go to change the wax, have everything ready whether you pour the wax out or use napkins or what.

 photo R1-HappyHolidays-ISO-FW15_zpswoo3x92v.jpg
Happy Holiday Nightlight, $20
I want to like this one but it's just too cutesy for me.

The Cardinal Element Warmer ($30) and Tux Penguin ($35) are both back this year, too.

Until now, the prices for things haven't been awful. I have saved the most WTF pieces for last. I do hope you will finish eating whatever you may be nomming and put down your drinks because I would hate for you to spray anything or choke. I myself suffered a choking incident when I saw the price for one of these.

Ready?

 photo R1-SnomanCountdown-ISO-FW2015_zpss6x2gjch.jpg
Snowman Countdown Premium, $50
This is the one I saw and initially thought of getting for my brother. It's cutesy, yes, but at Christmas he indulges in cutesy sometimes, and it would double as something practical (the warmer) and as a decoration, not to mention it counts down to a day when he wouldn't be at work! Yeah, then the prices came out and I was not amused. Really, Scentsy? Really?

 photo R1-OldWorldSanta-ISO-FW2015_zpsljvuwq4r.jpg
Old World Santa, Premium $60
$60? For this? Are you high? What?

 photo R1-HolidayReindeer-ISO-FW15_zpsoohvxxon.jpg
Holiday Reindeer, Premium $60
This is the one that broke my heart. I wanted it and was ready to shell out the inflated price for it but $60? No thank you, ma'am. It's gorgeous and I could see asking more than usual for it, but not $60.

Bonus laugh: that reindeer is taller than the haunted house. Also, you can use half price credits towards the holiday stuff. Meanwhile, they're still maintaining that the haunted house is too special for that. Really? These cost MORE and are BIGGER and... argh!

Now. I have saved my favorite for last.

Advent Calendar
Enrich your family’s traditions and create new memories together as Christmas draws near. Each day holds a small, fragrant gift – in the form of a wax or personal care sample – to share with the ones you love. All samples come in preselected Scentsy fragrances. Advent Calendar includes 20 1-ounce Scentsy Bar wax samples, 3 Velvet Hand Cream samples, 3 Whipped Body Soufflé samples, 1 Cream Shave Soap sample and 1 Refreshing Shave Balm sample in preselected Scentsy fragrances.

You'll note I've omitted the price for now. I wanted you to see that you get a fair amount of stuff in there. It's mostly wax, but you do get other things. You're obviously also getting multiples on some days because you get 20 things of wax, assuming this isn't a misprint. That said, this isn't worth the $90 they're asking for it. Oh yes, this is $90.

ARE YOU INSANE? /capslockrage

And so I don't end on a rage moment, November's warmer looks snazzy:
 photo letitsnow_zpsv9yxmzyy.png
Let it Snow, it'll be 31.50 in November. If it's half as popular as Chasing Fireflies, I'd see if you can pre-order it. It's also going to be one of the cheapest of the holiday warmers so that'll also help it fly right off. It looks like it's going to be a similar size to CF and that sucker is huuuuuge so that should factor into things. Oh, and CF is one where you place the warmer over the bulb base, so the warmer itself is one piece. One rather heavy piece.

If you're interested in anything, I'd imagine Cass could use the sales considering just about everyone here missed a day or four of work due to the flooding, and if you email her (contact page/email here) with a list of what you want, she'll fiddle with it until she finds you the best deal if you don't want to do the mental gymnastics yourself.
