When it gets super chilly, my thoughts turn to AG it seems. So we're taking a quick moment to mention a couple of things that I'm not sure I've shared.

• First up, wishbooks are being sent out. If you go to the website you'll see what they look like. If you get one and don't want it, please do think of me and send it my way. Just let me know and I will send you the shipping money if that's what it takes, k? I love the wishbooks and this year I'm not holding my breath on it. :(


• If you do get a wishbook, check to see if you get a 20% code. Should be on the front cover. Again, if not using... *cough*


• There's free shipping on orders over $100 going on at AG and you can stack it with that 20% off code. TOGETHER15 Expires 11/24/15

I had to call them yesterday because waaaaaaaay back in September when I made my last order, I caved and got Grace 2 and Grace's Travel Coat since it was on backorder and you know I love me some backorder roulette. It was supposed to be back in stock 10/02 but that date went by without a peep from AG. Usually AG's on the ball when it comes to keeping you in the loop on B/O products but I was a little distracted by that whole flooding issue that weekend so, y'know, I didn't sweat it.

Eventually I realize they haven't just stealth shipped it and I email them to ask what gives. I get a reply to call them, so I put that off until yesterday because phones, that's why. AG's very nice on the phone and she was ever helpful (no sarcasm). Turns out that there was a known issue for those items and that she'd have to cancel that part of my order and put it in again. I got my sale price and I'm good with that. I don't even mind that it took so long.

What I do mind, however, is this: they knew it was an issue and instead of telling their customers that a limited item (because it's a Girl of the Year item so it's technically limited) was in limbo and they'd have to contact the company to get the issue sorted out so they could get their stuff... they just ignored it. For the better part of a month. WTF, AG?


If you've got a Costco and you want Caroline, she's showing up there. More importantly, if you've got a Costco, they've got a four pack of $25 gift cards that you can get for $79.99, I believe, so you'd wind up saving some serious cash in the long run.



And finally (until I remember whatever else I wanted to say), I haven't even begun my AG Halloween. I'm going to be kicking myself for the next two weeks. I'm just so uninspired, y'know?

I had seen those codes and not gotten a catalog in awhile so I'm sure we'll both be null on this one. They've got mom's address too though so we'll see.

And of course, we got a Sam's Club and not a Costco. Sam's sometimes gets the pet or activity sets, but it doesn't sound like they would the doll...suck. Or that swank gift card deal. :(

I hear ya! I don't think I'm even dressing up this year. Everything just sucks right now.

I thought of you this morning when I realized that the last year or so of my AG order history is now MIA on their site. It was there before I called yesterday but today, poof! But a year ago I was still getting catalogs so maybe it's for the best.

I have Cass on the look out for the Costco goodies but I suspect the gift cards are probably located closer to stores (or the pop-up stores) so I'm not holding my breath on them. But if she finds them, I'll let you know!

City got on me about the cats again, so cutting them off has been sucky and draining. We're now constantly short-staffed at work and I can't get anything done and everyone's just kind of at the bottom of the barrel morale-wise. Just getting older and lonelier and it seems like there's just nothing to look forward to. Mom's really unhappy, too.

Yeah, she got us some MH-exclusive last time, right? That's nice of her. I think we're going up to Alb next month, so I was briefly excited, but the remembering that you need the membership I'm sure that would cancel out any savings.

Boo, city. Boo. :( And work being understaffed is always a bad idea for everyone involved. Maybe they'll hire someone or are you guys in a hiring freeze kind of situation? I feel your pain on the older and lonely bit, though I'm still firmly in that "Want someone but don't want to jump through the hoops to find them" way and you at least seem smart enough to be trying.

Yup, Costco membership isn't cheap. :/

Oooh, goodie. And JUST got called into a meeting that the city's revenue is reduced enough that we're at a "level 1...something" which means hiring and spending freezes. Weeee. You knew!! How did you know? But, she just interviewed so I don't think it will be retroactive. The boss and 2 others in my dept are going to a conference tomorrow through the end of the week and I'm in charge during all this crap in addition to manning the desk for untold amounts of hours.

Welp, nothing even fleeting has come of my efforts, so I think you're okay focusing on funner stuff. Pretty much resigned at this point to i guess it's called "forever alone". Still wish all this media would stop shoving it in my face though. Even the hot air balloon fiesta mocked me.

Not sure how much fun I'd consider the other stuff. Did text back and forth with someone for awhile. I think, if I hadn't immediately gone all panicky and "what have I done?!" it might've gone somewhere, but it wouldn't have worked out long term so... enh. How did the fiesta mock you? Does Saige need to paint the sky red again? Because she will. Oh, she will.

Yay! I'm glad you like them. I can't wait to be able to do my own Spice Girls set, but I'm two dolls short at the moment.

I found out that the San Diego store is not permanent - only here until March. So I will definitely have to make a couple of trips while I can. I want Julie and My AG 61. Once I get them, I'll be able create my own Spice Girls with Cecile as Scary, Ruthie as Sporty, Julie as Baby, 61 as Ginger, and Josefina as Posh. But costumes may prove difficult...

I don't know if I got a wishbook, but I got some sort of catalog in the mail. The wishbooks I remember from yesteryear were a lot thicker than this one. *checks website* Is it the catalog that they have pictured by the 'order catalog' button? Because that's what I got.

PS Next time I go to Costco I will see if I can find these things you mention (I never get half of what people rave about finding at Costco at my local Costco, so don't hold your breath.)

The e-version of the wishbook is apparently 88 pages long, give or take, but AG does have a bit of a history of using the same cover for things but altering the insides. In any case, I would happily take it off your hands. :D Thank youuuuu!

Which reminds me, first order of business next week is sending your belated magazine. (The shame of taking so long. The shame!)
