impyUgh. I hate making mistakes when it comes to scents. My Bath and Body Works order came in yesterday. I was so happy when I ordered because I got buy 3, get 4 free with $10 off... and then Saturday they put the lotions on sale for $3. WTF, guys. WTF.
I snagged the following lotions: Suncrisp Apple Harvest, Marshmallow Pumpkin Latte, Wrapped in Comfort, Plum Cider Warmth, Twisted Peppermint, and Frosted Winter Woods which I also snagged in shower gel. I was most excited about the FWW because I'd smelled almost all of these at the store about a month ago, I think, and really loved that one to the point that it was sitting in my online shopping cart ever since, waiting for the right sale to hit at a time when I could justify the price.
Cass was over because Mums wanted to sniff the various new Scentsy scents for one of her presents and maybe my nose was a little tired by the time I opened my box, but I was kinda disappointed when I sniffed my FWW lotion. It smelled too... musky? Woodsy? The whole reason I liked it in store was that it was, contrary to the name, very citrusy. But then I got to the gel at the end and it smelled EXACTLY like what I remembered, so... confused. The others all smelled kind of the same, so I think my nose was just tired yesterday. Except Twisted Peppermint which I understand now why it has so many fans. It smells so yummy, it's going to work with me as my work lotion, I think.
Anyway, I figured maybe the lotion would work better over the shower gel, so when I woke up this morning I hopped in the shower. The gel still smelled good and when I hopped out, I lotioned up.
Big mistake. Somehow all I can smell is the musk and I feel like I'm gonna gag anytime my hands get near my face. D:
