So I figured out what I don't like about the exam. The part where they ask if 1 is better or 2 is better. And so on. I think we went up to 9 on one eye. That's a long time and I'm thinking, "what if she's wondering how the hell my answers could be right?"

Spent 45 minutes shopping for frames. What did I ultimately pay for? The same pair on my face now.

Dammit.

I didn't like any as much as these and the one pair I picked was metal and I wasn't sure I was up to having the thickest glasses known to man again. So I panicked and grabbed what turned out to be the exact same pair I own. I'm 99% sure they're the same anyway.

I wish they wouldn't have so many racks but have a third be repeats. :/ I hated picking the same ones over and over. Also next time I want blue or aqua somewhere.

Yeah, I wasn't happy with my last eye glasses experience a couple months ago. My eyes don't change that much, but I need sunglasses and it was getting a little more blurry. I have the vision insurance even though I keep meaning to drop it since I don't use it often enough but that fucking open enrollment for only 2 months out of the year ensures I can never get down to City Hall to take care of it.

Anyhow, it was super easy when I could do it all at Walmart, but they don't have a doctor there anymore, so I chose another place and yeah I HATE that 1 or 2 thing too, though this time it was worse because they had it on a TV screen so it all looked blurry to me. And since I was weirded out already I just tried to get through it quick since I hate feeling dumb for not knowing which one and I'm pretty sure I boffed my prescription and now can't see as far as I used to. -_-

Then the glasses had no prices on them and not much choice for what I liked anyways and of course it was this cute and snobby guy so I felt extra ugly and dumb trying and wanted the choosing to be done with as quick as possible and not have him judge how I look...so I pick out a pair and the total is like way more than just Walmart with no insurance would have been, but they don't tell you until it's all rung up...so I got the prescription to shop around on a second pair, but since I don't think it's as good as my last one...ugh, I don't know what to do now. So pissed off about all of it and my cowardliness.

You get two month open enrollment? Dang, we get 20 days, give or take. Of course, we don't have to do it in person, just online, so that might help.

I've done the panicky thing on the 1/2 thing before, but this time I knew I wasn't holding anyone up (literally no one else there in the exam portion of the place) so I just told her whenever it was pretty much the same. Mums also used to have issues with that, but this last time told the doc (after god knows how many years) and he said that tells them something else, so that might help for next year? If you really did bork the prescription, can you just get it redone early in 2016?

It's been eons since I went to something other than Eyeglass World, though, so I dunno. This time they at least told me what my limit was so I didn't fall in love with frames more than my insurance would fully cover. Last time it was just a surprise because I didn't even see prices on the individual frames.

I might bitch about a lot of things at work at some point or another, but my vision insurance the last two years has been fantastic. (Might be less so if I wore contacts though.) My lenses are frickin' expensive. :/
