AG Spring Offerings

impyIt's the Thursday before Valentine's Day which means it's time for the spring AG stuff to appear. Who's ready?
Yeah, me neither. First, the bad news. There's nothing for the BF gang aside from new mysteries. The good news is that there isn't a whole lot period. Wait, what? That's the good news? Yes. Because my fingers are frozen and if I'm going to slog through new stuff that doesn't include stuff for named characters and there's no sale to be had (free shipping, c'mon! I want Lea, dammit) I don't want this to take forever. :P
Spring Breeze Dress Set $32 // Item #DHV57

You know, I actually really like this one. I don't have great hopes for that headband, honestly, but AG wouldn't know how to do a proper headband these days if lives depended on it, so we'll just accept that. But the dress itself is pretty cute, I love the color, and I like that they show it with and without the leggings. I'm not 100% sold on the shoes, but they are a little different and points have been awarded for this.
If they had free shipping going on, I'd add this to the book order I'm seriously considering (booksellers have the release date for those so, so far away!). Cute and something I will buy as soon as we've got a sale I can take advantage of.
Whoa. I'm slow. It juuuuuuuuuust hit me that this is basically Izzy's oatmeal outfit in a different color and with the mesh overlay as something intended, at the start, to be removable. So slow, M. So slow.

Her Bitty Baby doll will look as darling as a dewdrop in this fancy springtime outfit! It includes:
The problem with Bitty outfits is that since they don't/can't stand, you always see half the outfit when it's shown on the doll. This one is cute from what I can tell, though I do wish they weren't doing away with Bitty Twins because with a slightly smaller bow/sash, this would have been adorable for them. It's still adorable as is, but it's definitely more baby, less toddler.

Rainbow Sprinkles Outfit // $30

This casual Truly Me doll outfit is like an ice cream bar: sweet, silly, and a fun surprise! It includes:
JELLIES! Which is about the only thing I like about this outfit, btw. I like the shoes. I really like the color of the top, but I don't like the dots. I don't mind white capris on dolls because unlike kids, they're not likely to run outside and find every mud puddle in town, but I think the metallic trim looks like it's already falling apart when you zoom in. I don't like the colors used for the bracelet or the hair accessory annnnnnnd basically this outfit is just a miss for me. It reads way too young, which would be fine if there were options for outfits that read older, thus giving AG wiggle room on both sides. As it is, they're trying to skew too young and too old and not remembering that as a general rule, older sisters don't enjoy having the same things as their four year old little sisters. So if they're gonna both enjoy AG, they're going to need different outfits. :P
That said, from the back, I like this outfit a whole lot more. What could've been, AG. What could've been...
Bitty's First Easter Gift // $28

This adorable set is the perfect keepsake gift for her Bitty Baby doll's first Easter. It includes:
A sweet bunny applique bodysuit for dolls, featuring a colorful attached tutu and a fluffy bunny tail on the back
A keepsake musical gift box that plays a special song and has space for a photo and personal details inside
Normally I don't include Bitty Baby stuff (you'd never know it from this post, though) but this was too cute to not at least mention. And then you have to see it to believe it so... yeah. I'd buy this if it went on sale. Bitty of the Damned would murder me (yes, a hunk of plastic would come to life and murder me) if I put it on her, but it might be a good way to go. ;)
There's also a tankini set for Bitty Baby but the fug is too strong for me to share. Too strong. Those shoes, ugh. Why, AG? Why.

(And let's be honest, the only big item I'm eying at all is Sam's gazebo because you can decorate it for any season and it's just so fabulously wtf!)

We're gonna ignore the fact that $10 can get you real sunnies and focus on the fact that I don't like these on the doll they've chosen. They look cute on their own, but this shot isn't selling them to me. Sorry, sunnies.

I like these. I like them a lot. I can't imagine anything I have that would go with them, not even a little, though, and that plus the price makes them harder to love.

At first look, I thought this would be super cute. Then I saw it being used by the doll. That is tiny. This isn't a purse, this is a weirdly sized change purse. No thank you, ma'ams.

Teal love! ♥ That's one of the good things about Spring in AG-world. Teal has a pretty good chance of popping up somewhere.
