Let's play catch up, shall we? I mean, it's not like anything earth shattering has happened (knock on wood) but since when has that ever stopped me?
I decided to email AG about less than satisfactory Lea when Cass pointed out that the wig issues I thought she had weren't all in my imagination. So we'll see if they'll send a replacement without me having to call. If not, we're tentatively planning a Charlotte trip this summer, and maybe that'll happen unlike the one last year. I did point out that hello, this could be the year of it being *my* birthday trip. *cough* So if that happens, maybe I'll find a properly pissed off one then.
Quick mini review on Addy's lunch set: that pail is heavy! If I don't wind up with anything on my plate for my days off, I'll work on a proper review. But just poking around in the box without unwrapping anything, I don't feel disappointed by anything except maybe the massive grapes, and those looked pretty weird in pictures, so it's not a big surprise.
Maryellen's school dress is amazing and I was planning on throwing Lea into it, but if she's getting swapped out, well... we'll have to wait. Maybe one of the Graces will consent to wearing it. This is also your chance to request someone in particular if you're dying to see it on someone in my army.
Oh, and if you do get Lea and you're checking the box for her bag/necklace, they're hiding under the book.
In other news, I'm giving the Melted Liquid Lipsticks another go. We'll see if these ever make it here and if they do, whether I like them. :P There was a sale that was essentially buy three, get one free, so... I did. I went with three of the new chocolate ones (two of the sheerer ones and one nude) and one of the regular ones. We'll see how I like them and go from there. I hope I like them as much as I think I will because otherwise, dude. Expensive mistake. :P
Did I mention I bought two of the Jordana Sweet Cream Mattes? I think I did. Strawberry Cheesecake turned weirdly coral which I wasn't expecting though online swatches make it more obvious. But they didn't at the time! So I gave that to Mums and eventually tried out Raspberry Tart, which is a bit better except I think Mums is right and it doesn't work with my glasses. WOE. They do feel nice going on, they smell yummy, and if you're me, you forget you're wearing them until someone shrieks, "WHOA" when they see you. Which is um, not really something you want to hear. They also last forever and a day, so thumbs up for that. Thumbs down for my color choices sucking.
Cass dropped off my Scentsy order yesterday, so I'm trying Whiteout today. It's interesting. I wonder how it never ended up on my radar before? Huh. She included some samples of the new essential oils (she'd planned on getting one of the new diffusers since one of them looks like a dragon egg) but I haven't sniffed any of them really. Pretty as I think the diffusers are, they're expensive as hell and I just don't really see me using them.
Okay, I'm tired and my feet are killing me, so I think it's time to go work on my Joanne Fluke book. Even if there isn't a surprise groom switch. Boo. Hiss.

Date: 2016-03-08 02:38 am (UTC)I've had good luck with the NYX matte lip creams, and their regular lipsticks, too. $3.99 at Target and it's a great find ~ again, if you can find a shade. I bought Snow White which is like a garnet/oxblood color and YASSSSS!!!! :D But if you are super pale it might pull too goth on you. Hmm...

Date: 2016-03-08 03:50 pm (UTC)But yeah, it's not often I forget completely that I'm wearing something. The raspberry one lasted through a shower and sleep, so those suckers are serious.
Ooh! I've wanted an excuse to try Nyx stuff and this is clearly a sign. I looked at Target the last time I was there but I think they were in the middle of reset times, so the section was there, but not really full. Next time!

Date: 2016-03-09 02:17 am (UTC)I'm fairly sure there's a Kmart in AL...somewhere...but not close enough to go to even on a special trip. Bleh. I wish WnW hadn't made their Au Nauturel palettes WalMart exclusives because that is the one store I refuse to go into unless I'm absolutely, totally desperate and have no other option. Not even the promise of WnW can make me go there, ugh >:(
