Kendall's my second or third in command. If I liked her outfit more, she'd probably be second. She'd definitely be second if she had freckles or a birth mark or something because how often do you see that? Almost never, that's how often.
Which is why I wish I liked Ashlyn more. FRECKLES, dammit. On a non white girl! But something about her face keeps throwing me for a loop. I'm hoping it's just AG failtography at work, even if lots of other people adore her.

Swiper no swiping (Ashlyn also reminds me of Dora and I hate Dora so...)? Ha. I swipe what I wanna swipe. A real Willa in the wild. She's cuter than I thought. I may need to rethink things beyond Emerson.

Date: 2016-06-22 06:56 pm (UTC)That particular photo of Ashlyn is what's holding me back from declaring her the winner. Her face looks so...oddly wide in it. I thought she had the same head as Kendall, which I also wish they didn't do as both of the darker girls don't need the same face, but Kendall never looks as wide as Ashlyn. It's weird.
Camille and Willa are the best full packages, but I don't want to be like everyone and get Willa, so maybe Camille? But I'm not sure she's strong enough to curb my wants for the time it will be until I can order another.
It's probably going to come down to clothes. I'm not paying $24 for that cheap-looking princess dress, but I'd get Emerson's dance outfit or those PJs I think Camille was wearing in another photo. And I definitely want that mermaid set.
They're shorter than everyone thought, too! I wonder if they can share with HFHG.

If Em weren't screaming my name, I don't know which one I'd go with. I like Camille way more than I thought I would but I can see why she might not be enough to fully satisfy the want, especially wanting other dolls more.

Date: 2016-06-23 02:23 am (UTC)My preciouses are definitely coming back. It's been confirmed on the HFHG FB. Rahel, Dell, Consuelo and Nahji should be back out for the holidays. I'm not sure if they're getting new outfits or which company has them now, but I guess we'll see! I hope they eventually make new ones, too, instead of just reissuing the old characters. Although I'll still be supporting the line, even I have to buy doubles/triples.

Date: 2016-06-22 07:35 pm (UTC)I hate Willa's headband and the willies with the painted on shoes bother me greatly for some reason: Emerson's ballet shoes and Ashlyn's MJs.
So I guess my lineup would go Willa, Kendall, Emerson, Camille and Ashlyn. Was really thinking they'd be cheaper, since they don't look to be that much better quality than the Hearts 4 Hearts dolls except for maybe the clothing. I really did get spoiled by the Hearts 4 Hearts...and I think I missed out on the Brooklyn girl from that one. :/ I guess we're paying for the AG brand pretty much these days though, right? Though Mom seems to like them, so she actually may fund the purchase of one.

Mums was irritated by the painted on shoes on their wellies, too. To be contrary, I kinda dig it but I'm less fond of the fins on Camille's. :p I do think the girl sized solution is genius (clear Wellies with funky socks to match the dolls so they can sell one pair of shoes and a million pairs of socks).
When we thought they were going to be in other stores and not just AG, I thought they'd be cheaper, too. But given Bitty's price, these look kinda like a steal compared to Bitty soo... yeah. Paying for the AG name. But free shipping right off the bat! Which is gonna influence me more than it probably should.
