Mattel update

Couldn't sleep. Tried. Too hot and my head still hurts and basically it was a wasted experiment. Decided to watch Stranger Things again but my Kindle only had enough juice for one episode. Couldn't find any books on luxken27's list and of course I left my notepad upstairs so my email to her will further be delayed. Because of course.


Just got a really strange call, I guess. You might recall that not that long ago I emailed Mattel about their box o' minis in their shop? Originally it didn't warn you that you'd get doubles and now it does. The reasoning he gave was a bit weird when you stop and look at it at all critically but it was nice that they called and followed up. I'd noticed the change the other day so I honestly figured they were just going to ignore the email so there's a surprise twist.


The reasoning, in case you wondered, is that this way little girls who collect can trade away their doubles. He mentioned that there'd be a bunch of different lines coming out and that not every store would carry the exact same ones. Which... isn't exactly the case as of yet, is it? I know Walmart still seems to be the only place to get the coffin minis, but as far as I've noticed, Target and Walmart both have the same mini 3-packs as of now, right? Oh, lord, please don't let the minis get store exclusives more than they already have.

Oh, gods, no. I'm already annoyed because I need a lot more display coffins and I refuse to buy doubles.

I'm hopeful that since everything is so new that it just sounded like exclusives could be a thing but won't be... if I hadn't been so thrown by the random call, I might've thought to ask.
I only want a couple more little coffins but i don't really want or need more of the super common six. Sigh.
